Polar FT7 owner here for 3 months and happy about it. Difference between men's and women's models are the size and colors I think. Men's model is bigger. If you live in USA, you will have no problem getting one on internet at a good price. In Canada, I had to buy one directly from a sport store because USA would not ship…

Protein smoothies! Good way to add calories and it fuel up your body. I put a cup of frozen fruits and milk with the powder.
-
Make myself a smoothie of milk, protein powder and frozen fruits, for around 300 calories. Then I have a toast and peanut butter :)

Sister got pretty sick in winter...got me strong enough to tell me : "hey, you live only once, you can't be that fat!"
-
Proud Quebecer putting maple syrup here. But never thought of peanut butter and sure going to try this!

HRM with strap band? Any other watch without the strap ise useless... Quality of the HRM is kind of important too. What did you bought?
-
Started yesterday...this morning, had 2 eggs, a toast, half a grapefruit and a glass of milk. Wow !! Energy all along the criminal law class I had this morning. And I feel good in my jeans...a pair I don't usually wear because I felt too strech lately. I know this can't be from just one day but I feel this is going to be…

I'm 23 and overweight but I feel pretty great when I go our swimming with my boy friend (slim) and he can't do what I can. Makes me think wheight isn't the only thing!

[ Alright so just to be sure...because I'm french speaking and sometimes it's hard for me to understand everything... Everyday from now, I should eat 2250 calories even though I don't work out ? If I go exercising and burn over 550 calories, I have to eat some back to be sure I'm over 1700 in my day. Did I get this right ?…

Wow...there is such a huge gap between what MFP tells me and what I've read here... I'm 23, 198 pounds, 5f10'. I'm a moderate active person, I work out about 4 times a week (dance, trampoline, ultimate frisbee and swimming) and I walk almost every week day for about 2X15 minutes. From what I've calculate, my BMR is around…

I have a Polar FT7 and I've never had any problem of communication between the watch and the chest strap except when : 1- Went to the pool. Supposed to work in water but it doesn't in my case. 2- I had winter coat and stuff because it was frigging cold outside. I love my HRM and I think it's a good way to motivate…

Add me too. Started 10 days ago, sure we can help each others!
-
I'm 5'10'' and I'm aiming for 170, though I'd be happy with 180. Makes like 20 pounds to lose, I'm currently 198.
-
Add me too! Really need the support and I log in many times a day :)

Yes eat those exercise calories back! Your body need to repair and heal. TDEE is the amount of calories your body burns in a day for normal activities: working, walking, cooking your meal, etc. Opposed to BMR which is the amount of calories you burn if you stay on a chair all day long or if you are in a coma...it's the…

Wow nice job!
-
57! I exercise a bit and the lowest normal is 60 so I guess it's not bad.
-
Ok! I'll give it a try!

Pool! Good way to get in shape and it does not hurt like your bones or muscles like running. Walking too, and 30 minutes a day is not that hard to get to. You can even split the time, like going for three times/10 min or two times/15 minutes. When you feel ready, you can try going uphill for a while. Just go for what you…

Never eat below your BMR? MFP wants me to eat around 1650 calories a day to lose a pound/week even though my BMR is estimated to 1730 a day and my TDEE is around 2160... Should I catch up my BMR? I'm on my first week almost completed and I haven't lost anything.
-
Add me too ! First week here, long journey ahead, could use the support !
-
Thanks again :) I hope in one week I can see some results...this first week, though I was religious about counting calories and exercising, had me lost nothing.
