^^ That's what I'd do too.

I definitely have fast food once every two weeks. We do a lot of traveling so even if we make sandwiches for the road or whatever, we stop for a coffee & donut or something along the drive. I had a Starbucks cookie with breakfast *GASP* I don't ever eat at BK. I haven't been to Taco Bell since January. I was at McDonald's…

Sorry, didn't have time to join the group until today and this week has been crazy hectic working the Women's World Hockey Championships. I eat the food that's provided to me for snacks and meals at the volunteer lounge of the games. I have eaten a real fruit or vegetable with almost every single meal though. I'll be part…

HA I definitely married the military guy who comes home and plays video games....I do 100% of the grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking. He does 98% of the dish washing though. But when it comes to the house I do all the laundry and most of the cleaning too. I also work about twice as many hours as he does during the…

I compare labels, not price. If the store brand is the healthier version, that is what I purchase. I have purchased a lot of "no name" or store brand varieties that are the exact same thing as the name brand version. Most of the store brands you see are actually made in the same plant/place as the name brand products but…

I am a woman and I don't find offense to this. Some men prefer smaller women. Some men prefer athletic women. Some men prefer large women. Just like some women prefer athletic and muscular men. Some women are fine with husbands who have beer guts. I personally would NEVER consider dating someone who looks unhealthy because…

This is actually legit sounding but NOTHING NEW. I watch Dr. Oz whenever I am actually home to catch it, and I have learned some interesting things, or learned about interesting foods from other cultures but I don't think there's anything I've actually bought or used from the show. Some stuff is a little ridiculous…

24 year-old Orthodox Christian :-) Feel free to add me! Thanks.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I think you're all right about it not actually 'curdling' in a bad way, but the look of it freaks me out. I definitely do shake the carton well first so maybe I'll just have to stir the coffee and almond milk faster and then put my travel mug lid on and ignore any floaters. HA HA.

I've tried Blue Diamond and same thing happens, little chunks form and float on the coffee. I'll try with Silk next time.

I have opened a brand new, fresh carton of almond milk and it happens. I use Earth's Own unsweetened almond milk.

I have two slow cookers :-) I made a lentil soup on Sunday and tonight I am making chickpea cumin soup. Definitely love making soups to last all week for quick meals and lunches. Bean and Kale; southwest chicken and white bean sounds delicious! any links to recipes?

I'm okay with high levels of carbs - and I definitely love quinoa! Have to start cooking it more, I tend to only make it 3 or 4 times a month.

I love Luna Bars :-)

Yes, I am an Arbonne customer actually :-) I was using Arbonne shakes but then I ran out and went to Natural Food Pantry and bought Progressive Harmonized Vegan Protein Powder which is a bit cheaper. Only issue is, I loved drinking Arbonne plain with just water and I don't like drinking the Progressive brand plain with…

Love chicken, I eat boneless, skinless chicken breast almost every night of the week.

I love lentils! Made a big batch of lentil soup on Sunday. I have never eaten tuna and the thought of it freaks me out a little to be honest...the smell of the canned stuff has turned me off of it. I do eat salmon though (of course the fattiest fish)

Thanks for the idea! I have tons of dried beans sitting in my pantry and have been looking for new recipes to use them in :)

I do eat meat - but I never seem to eat meat at lunch (I am not into eating cold cuts, and usually just bring leftovers for lunch) but even with the meat I eat, I never seem to get enough protein.

I use plain Greek yogurt where people would use sour cream (tacos, fajitas, baked potato etc...). I eat vanilla Greek yogurt as a snack, post workout or breakfast. I have baked with vanilla Greek yogurt in place of eggs in recipes. I make an eggless Zucchini bread that uses 3/4 Greek yogurt as the base. Delicious

I am allergic to bananas - I make my protein shakes with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1 scoop of vegan (pea) protein, 4 or 5 frozen strawberries, 3 or 4 slices of frozen peaches, 1/8 cup frozen raspberries. Sometimes I add ground flax to it, sometimes I use less almond milk and put a bit of Greek yogurt in. Sometimes…

Wow - protein brownie AND it has no egg! (I'm allergic) This is a winning combo for me! Can I use almond milk instead of skim milk (also have a dairy issue)?

Yeah, I have heard all the cancer alarms about those products many time and believe everything in moderation is fine :)

I've had similar problems. I had weighed myself at my parent's house the first time and lost inches and weighed myself at the gym and was more weight than I had started, but a week later went back to my parent's house and was 3 pounds less than the scale had said at the gym. I totally understand your frustration of not…
