Some people are sensitive to it. For most people it's fine.

You'll certainly lose weight eating 700 calories a day, but it will be very, VERY difficult....if not almost impossible....to keep it off when you get to your goal weight. It's called adaptive thermogenesis- your metabolism slows down when you significantly undereat. With your impaired metabolism, whenever you eat…

Leg day was today. I do back squats followed by supersets of front squats-good mornings- barbell lunges. Then 15ish minutes of light-moderate cardio at the end.

That intake is insanely, dangerously low if you were on bedrest. Add in your workout schedule of weight lifting and cardio and it's a serious problem. It's about 1/3 of what you probably should be eating to lose weight at your size and with your activity. Between body fat and muscle, muscle is easier for your body to break…

97 is not a mistake.

So you want to replace dinner with a protein shake? Personally, I think that would be a mistake. I don't believe in using any diet tactics that aren't sustainable, and I find it highly improbable that anyone would give up dinner for the long term- it's too much of a communal meal. Any brand of protein shake is fine for…

OP CONGRATULATIONS! EVERYONE TURNED OUT THE SAME COLOR!!!

Just get the cheapest regular women's multi you can find. They're all fine assuming you don't have a specific deficiency.

I would swap all the machine weight exercises for free weights or at least cable machines. Machines restrict ROM and don't allow you to develop stabilizing muscles with the exercise. Get your BF to work with you on proper form for everything. IMO machines are only justifiable for people with injuries they're rehabbing or…

Set performance related goals and continue to work towards them always. ETA: I continued logging religiously for about 3 or 4 months in to maintenance. After that time, I tested the waters with continuing to eat the same, but not logging. Now I log periodically, as a check-up. I have found that over time my hunger signals…

It sounds like the symptoms of low calories. Are you accurately logging and tracking now? What is your current calorie goal? Creatine is fine, or it's fine not to use it. Your choice.

OMG I never thought about trying this. I like it a lot. Imma gonna try tomorrow! Thanks!

Just do them anyway. You'll figure out the right position.

Tagging to respond after TWD. Unless someone else posts my response for me.

Interesting. I hope you fine those avid revolutionary dancers for whom you seek.

Endomondo, because it actually tracks the work you actually did using GPS. MFP just guesses based on the few parameters you input.

Nomination for best thread.

Meh. People who will take the time to learn will do it of their own volition, not because you didn't answer them directly. You can't teach a horse to fish.

Hill Sprints, SLDLs, Good Mornings, Squats, Lunges, Deadlifts. I would personally look at a split that follows along the lines of Push (bench, OHP, dips, etc), Pull (DL, SLDLs, chins, rows), Legs (Squats, Lunges, etc)

I am very interested in what your plan consists of.

Don't wait- start lifting now. Do some cardio, too. Both is a really good plan. Weightlifting 3x/week 30-45 mins Cardio 2-3x/week, 30 mins.

Get a copy of the book "You are your own gym" (there's an app available too). It's a home strength program that requires nothing but your bodyweight and regular household items- like chairs and steps and gallons of water. Other than that I would start walking.
-
Yup. It is certainly eye opening.

I know when I have too much sugar- it makes me feel crappy. Incidentally, so does too much protein or too much fat. Bless your heart. :flowerforyou:

I would suggest checking out the Stronglifts website and get started with SL 5x5. You can do the ab workouts if you want but they won't do anything to burn ab fat. There's no such thing as spot reduction. Hitting large muscle groups and hitting them hard is much more effective for fat loss- and compound lifts work your abs…

I hadn't even thought of photoshop. I like it. I was just thinking getting a few old-timey pics of a black lady would do it but this is even better. Maybe send a facebook FR to a few black folk with the same last name as you and say they're your cousins.

So your net calorie amount is around 400 a day? That's your problem. I take back my prior advice to keep doing what you're doing. Eat more and make your net calories equal to your goal. OP means either the Original Post or the Original Poster depending on the context. So you are the OP and you wrote the OP.

I would add some fat to your diet and consolidate your workouts. You don't need 2 a days every day. Weights will be better at 3 or 4 times a week depending on the split you choose- if you're just starting I would recommend 3x a week full body but you could also do a 4 day split if you prefer to spend more days in the gym.…
