  • Thanks folks. I actually have a lot of trouble with 30 Day Shred - I've tried it several times and for some reason I just can't do it. Will those other recommendations trip me up if I can't do Shred?
  • I'd go broke if I rewarded myself for every 5lbs LOL
  • I think your girls have gotten together with my girls and have been conspiring 'cause that story sounds AWFULLY familiar to me.
  • Oh wow, you give me hope!! I was at a 44J, I've gone to a 40H, and I really desperately need to go down more. My back hasn't been happy in decades.
  • I tried on a dress I bought online for a wedding next month. It had one review that said the top didn't have much give to it, and since I was right on the edge between sizes I bought the larger size. Tried it on today, nope, should have bought the smaller size, too much give on top. YAY! I love when I need to buy smaller…
  • For those who crave Chinese takeout, or other kinds of ethnic takeout food, I HIGHLY recommend the cookbook from Weight Watchers called Take-Out Tonight. We have tried nearly every recipe in the Chinese section as well as some of the other sections (there's Deli, Greek, Chinese, Sushi, Italian, Thai, Mexican, and Indian…
  • Browning ground beef or any other ground meat will be tough for anyone without pots/pans/stovetop. However, some Morningstar veggie crumbles would work great as a source of protein/meat replacement.
  • My best NSV is the fact that I can now officially buy bras from a regular store. Well, sort of. I can buy them online from Lane Bryant's site. BUT! This means I finally have a place where I can get deals (there is ALWAYS a coupon out there, almost always clearance, and sometimes fabulous promotions), and decent ones don't…
  • I keep posting this, but it keeps tasting good, so I'm gonna again! 1/2 cup egg beaters (I use regular but you could use flavored or all whites or whatever), 1/3 cup of Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Crumbles (in a bag in the meat section t the grocery store), and 1 wedge of laughing cow light swiss (again, any flavor would…
  • Pretty much everything you see in my ticker is due to Leslie. I did use my exercise bike some, but I just enjoy moving more. I have enough back, knee, and hip problems where anything too high impact is out, but Leslie is perfect for me. I usually either do the 4 Fast Miles if I'm running a little short on time, or the 5…
  • I love Subway. I usually get a 6" turkey and ham on wheat with just lettuce, onion, and a little honey mustard. Sometimes if I'm extra hungry I'll get double meat. Still filling but adds less calories than upgrading to a foot long. Otherwise, I do find myself eating a bunch of the bacon ranch chicken salads at McDonald's.…
  • Aldi is all over the US. It wasn't til about 10-12 years ago that they got one near me, but we've steadily been getting more since.
  • Most frozen veggies and fruits are frozen JUST as they are picked with minimal processing (some things are sliced, pitted, etc, but usually no cooking is involved with processing), so they retain their nutrients, so they are a great alternative to fresh. Some people prefer the taste of fresh, but I like the convenience of…
  • The only asparagus recipe I've had contains an insane amount of olive oil and salt so I don't cook them that way anymore, but I did come across a fabulous WW recipe for Asparagus Frittata the other day. It was really yummy and easier to cook than it looked.
  • Chilis has a few Guiltless Grill things, and Ruby Tuesday has a few items under about 500 cal or so.
  • I immediately thought of Uprising by Muse. Great butt-kicking song. It was nice to see at least one other person (I didn't look to far) also think of it.
  • I love the Emerald Nuts 100 cal snack packs. The Walnuts and Almonds and the Cocoa Roast Almonds are my favorites. Good fats, and perfectly portioned so I don't (forgive me) go nuts.
  • I will be happy when a few of our usual haunts (Friday's comes to mind) have to post the counts. My son LOVES to go there but I hate going there because I never know what's okay to eat beyond like one or two items.
  • Diet coke. I try to wean myself off it, but honestly, I'd be very very sad to give it up completely. I've been drinking it since I was 8 years old.
  • Try asparagus, too. I never thought I'd like it, 'cause heck, look at the name - it doesn't look like something anyone would eat LOL But it's really tasty.
  • You will be plenty sexy enough for any man lucky enough to have you. To heck with your ex - obviously there's a reason he's earned that name.
  • The Mexican restaurant I go to has what they call "skinny" enchiladas where they soften the tortillas with water rather than oil before they bake them. Three enchiladas are 470 cal/17 fat - not the most fabulous stats, but FAR better than the non-skinny counterpart (about 730 cal/43 fat). There aren't too many other…
  • Mini Babybel light cheese (I LOVE these things), string cheese sticks (I usually get the ones made from 2% milk), 100 cal packs of almond or other nuts (the cocoa ones are great), mini carrots, turkey pepperoni slices, beef jerky sticks (REAL beef jerky, not Slim Jims), pretzels, grapes, celery sticks with peanut butter.…
  • I've lost a lot, but it's only just now starting to feel real because I uploaded pics last night and I can finally SEE the difference. It took me a lot longer to see the difference because it's me - I see myself in the mirror every day and I see what's under my clothes every day and it looks just as ick to me as usual, but…
  • Mmmmmm I love pita chips :) My favorite is cinnamon and sugar, but these look yummy too!
  • I keep a case of bottled water next to my chair in the living room just so I don't have to go to the kitchen and look at the food.
  • I drink a bottle of water and go to bed before my body realizes I've tricked it.
  • I am so brainwashed it's ridiculous. I'm in a weight loss competition for money amongst my friends. All of them are having cheat days and doing reasonably well. I'm not having a cheat day at ALL, and yes, I'm winning (and I WILL WIN, dangit), but I can't get myself to treat myself for the first time in TEN AND A HALF WEEKS…
  • Love Leslie! I'm regularly doing the FAST 4 miles (intervals and stuff) now - I worked my way up from the one miles (and those used to suck for me). I have the 5 mile DVD here, but I'm a little afraid to use it. My ticker in my sig is just my results from August, and I pretty much exercise with Leslie exclusively, so it…
  • Mine is usually 1/2 cup egg beaters plus 1/3 cup Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles. That equals 100 calories. Sometimes I add a laughing cow wedge for 35 extra cal, or sometimes I subtract the sausage and have just the eggs, which is worth 60. So I suppose it ranges from 60-135.
