I am starting over too. I lost a grand total of about seventy pounds starting about five years ago. Then I went to school and worked full time which led to me gaining back about 45 pounds. I'm done with school but unfortunately the weight has not been coming off because my family has been through a lot of stress this last…

I will be 45 in October.

I am 44. I started about 4 years ago at 237 pounds. I lost seventy pounds and kept it off for a few years then went back to school to study massage therapy while working full time during the day. A years worth of 12 hour days were not kind to me and I gained back about 35 pounds but now that I am back to a normal schedule…

I have done group classes but I also like working out on my own schedule.

That is what I use too. I do not think that the calorie estimator is accurate. It is way off from what my HRM reads.

If It is a special occasion I will not log because we usually eat at our favorite asian buffet and the have cake or whatever afterwards. It is a big cheat meal for me, but as long as I am losing weight overall it is okay.

I try to be as accurate as possible but what about when you eat meals that are prepared by someone else? I am talking about when my husband ( who cooks during the week) cooks a meal from scratch. This also happens when we eat at a non chain restaurant or buy baked goods from our local farmers market. I just try to find…

I am soon to be 43 and I would love to start strength training. I will be starting school for massage therapy next month and will be working full time during the day and attending class 5 nights a week for about 10 1/2 months. I have resigned myself to the fact that I will simply not have time to do it more than once or…

I have been buying raw honey from our local farmers market. I put it in our tea every day and we have not had colds or allergies since we started.

This is SO inspiring to me so THANK YOU! I am of similar age and height (five foot seven I think and will be 43 soon.) I also work forty hours at my job but will soon be taking evening massage therapy classes five times a week. We are a family with multiple special needs as well. I have been wanting to start bodyweight…

I know I need to start strength training. I am looking forward to being able to post something like this!

I used to be an active participant on that site. Not so much since I discovered MFP. Thanks though! I know they have some good videos.

Honestly I have not really done enough lifting to know wether I really like it or not. I was previously strength training in fits and starts if you all know what I mean. I just could not seem to find anything that I could stick with. I am going to drop my YMCA membership when I start school in October because I will be…

I have thought about the bodyweight workouts but I would have too many distractions. My older daughter is almost nineteen and has Aspergers Syndrome, basically higher functioning.autism. My younger one is sixteen and is non verbal lower functioning autistic. We get no.help with her at all. Lunch break is not an option…

I have gone from a size 11W to a size 9.5-10W. Mostly 10 W. I am hoping that when I finally reach my goal that I wear a 9 or a 10 regular so I can buy shoes anywhere.

I do not count general cleaning like vacuuming and laundry but I do consider mowing the lawn a workout. Gardening can also be a workout.

In our house we are ALL about classic eighties rock! My hubby does NOT like modern country music but he does like old Hee-Haw style of country music. My daughter who is severely autistic does not like any music with a twangy sound like a banjo. I like some country music but like my girls I listen to eighties bands.

I would like to start weight training but the problem that I will be facing in about 5 months is that I will be working full time days and going to school for Massage Therapy at night 4 evenings a week for almost a year. Once I start that I will not have the time except for maybe on the weekends. I am NOT going to get up…

I made the switch from white sugar to raw local honey a year and a half ago. My husband recently became a vegan and made the switch too. We both agree that raw, local honey is by far superior to sugar. I have noticed a big difference in my health. I have not had a cold or sore throat since I started consuming raw honey. My…

I have the NROLFW book and even started the program but I hated how it had me going all over the gym. I also decided that I wanted to spend LESS time at the gym not more.I think that we all have to do whatever program works best with our preferences/lifestyle whatever.

I want to start off by saying that the OP looks GREAT and should be very proud of her progress. I have to wonder where are all the ladies who started lifting when they were overweight and where are their progress pics? I am 42 and still have at least 30 pounds to go before I can just worry about maintaining. I will be…

I will never wear a bikini but when I reach my goal I will attempt to post a few pictures.

When you are still 30 pounds or more away from your goal weight and people try to tell you that you should not lose any more.

I am giving serious consideration to cutting back on grains ect. We eat way too much bread in my house anyway. I have been nursing achilles tendonitis for several months and have not been working out as much since it seems like every exercise I do no matter how low impact irritates my achilles tendon. I really want to…
