I'm with you - I'm not a labrador so therefore a foodie treat is irrational, but I'll be damned if a 2 hour workout isn't sometimes followed by beerandpizza on a Friday. But! Historically, I've treated myself to the following: - a massage (sometimes feels really, really needed after training) - a new item of clothing that…

From my recollection of Revs' dressings they are very oily - delicious, but ooooiilly.

Do love me a Revs! No advice unfortunately, other than perhaps logging all the information individually (i.e. estimate the weight of the cheese, bacon and chicken and logging them), and totting up the salad and perhaps asking the staff to put the dressing on the side?

Noting this for my spell at the gym later!

@Chadomaniac - getting a buff Heath Ledger vibe.

I always thought an hourglass was underneath the flab. Alas, I am a wide-shouldered rectangle. Damn!

This...this is effing genius. Right, that's it. This weekend, I shall make me and The Man some Hollow Breakfast Bagels. Scoop that mutha, scrambled some eggs, grate some cheese, grill some bacon, and get stuffin'. Also, a cup of tea.

Thanks both, really helpful.

I lift in a mirror (I know, I know). I find myself my most attractive when I'm all sweat-sheened and the old moosk-les are poppin' out, so I naturally turn into a rabid beast. ... ... ... I'm in a LDR :( But in all seriousness, I think in my case it's just down to increased confidence associated with weight loss. Although…

Takes longer to write a post than it does to log food...ahem ;) It takes some getting used to, but you'll get there. I sometimes use the app on my phone and it's embarrassingly quick.

Stiff upper lip all the way over here.

Doooctor, as so many have said. My $0.02; I lost my hair through PCOS - I lost my hair in a typical male pattern baldness fashion. Hope all goes well x

Dizzylinds - good time gal, I suspect would tear up a dancefloor.

Lean, mean, in green...dedicated, I'd say. ETA: Whoa, fingers of fire out there! Aimed at Fozzi.

Shameless plug, but relevant - I blogged about this before (http://russianweightsandsmallerplates.wordpress.com/2013/01/09/sports-bras-partners-and-back-braces/). I think that, provided it's done in the right manner and with good, supportive intentions, then your partner should never be criticised for giving you a nudge in…

#6. That's a fine casual leg-cross.

I am any Z-lister featured on the Daily Mail website and I like to pour my curves into lots of things.

Wow.

Sometimes it happens, and it's almost a case of losing weight DESPITE your diet, rather than because of it.

I never aspired to have a thigh gap. I now have one. Genetics, eh? I have muscular legs, and swear by spin and squats to get 'em in shape. No idea how I got my thigh gap, unfortunately.

*snort* Caustic, but he has a point. But ultimately it boils down to what you want to achieve, and how much effort you are prepared to put in. I want to be muscular, athletic-looking, and fit as fock. I'm not going to get that by walking an extra stop on the bus, so I have to work hard for it. But that's not to say that my…

I remember reading a quote along the lines of when you get a flat tyre, do you go around the car and slash the other three? No, so get to it! The time will pass regardless - make a better choice for you and don't use falling off the wagon as an excuse to roll naked in its dusty wake. You can do it!
-
We all start somewhere! I regularly run 8k on the treadmill - when I first started, I could barely do ten minutes at walking pace. But keep at it - hard work pays off, and frankly people are too involved in their own workouts to give a damn about anyone else!

Another vote for plain old oats, rather than the flavoured sachets. My go-to breakfast is overnight Greek oats - oats mixed with Greek natural yoghurt, dried tropical fruit and a splodge of honey. Not really low-carb, but the sugars are largely natural and the yoghurt packs a protein punch.

Excellently put. I have very little time for two types of people - those who dismiss weight loss as easy (they tend to fall into the 'move more, eat less' brigade); and those who make little effort and complain at a lack of results. It's one of the hardest things you'll ever do - if it was so easy, there'd be very few fat…

Tried it in my ill-informed dieting days. I was absolutely murderous, grumpy, hungry, and constantly sugar-crashing. I sometimes think you might as well have bowl of Frosties twice a day; seem to have as much nutritional worth. It puts you in a deficit, but there's more to weight loss than that. Special K isn't going to…

Don't panic! When I first started exercising, my measurements - particularly my limbs - increased for a while. I can only think that it was down to muscle growth paired with not losing body fat quickly enough: so basically my muscles were pushing the fat out. For me, the real 'firming up' stage has only really happened…

Another vote for lifting. I'm only 7lb lighter than I was than this time last year, but I'm a dress size smaller and in much, much better shape. All because of lifting. Also, to those ranting about hubs - so what? He's not married to you. And frankly, there's worse advice out there.

It's made of olives, not magic - so log it!

Sensitive one, this. I'm lucky enough to be with a man who has loved me at all sizes. But I started losing weight pretty early on in our relationship, and despite the loss being slow he appreciated and supported the efforts I was making. Not a plug, honest - but I did write about this recently…
