I like to see how much people ate and what they ate to lose the wieght and I wish more would add that info as well. It is a very important peice of information to have.

I was eating a TON before I started, but not sure exactly how much. I had about 38 extra pounds of baby weight I had been carrying around for over two years. Starting weight was 174 current weight is 140 (up from 138, but I am pregnant again, so you can say my final weight after losing was 138,lol) At first I set my…

Yes, everyone has a different opinion and LOVES to give advice when it comes to babies. Your parenting philosophy might change, too, once the baby is home. I know mine did completely!!! Each family, and baby, is different. I say just read up on the basics and do what feels right when the baby is here. I am a VERY rigid and…

I like anything by Dr. Sears, but did not really read too many parenting books. They are a tough genre though because everyone has a different opinion on the subject and a lot of those books are just opinion peices. Do you know what style of parenting you lean towards? There are so many different ways get it right I think!…

I forgot that I have been doing egg salad a lot for lunch, too. It packs quite the protien punch. We don't do much meat either and I usually do ok on protien. Feel free to check out my diary if you want!
-
I put peanut butter in my oatmeal and eat wraps with refried beans, cheese and avacado in them for lunch. String cheese is another staple, but I try not to do too much dairy. I also add chia, hemp and flax seed to my oats for protien and fiber.

I do hope you are able to have your VBAC!!! I have been reading and researching birth so that I can be prepared. If my back handles the pregnancy ok I will for sure be going for the VBAC, too!

I had a C section with my daughter and will likely have to have one again this time. Is was scheduled because of health issues and was very uneventful with no complications. I recovered quickly for a C section as well. However, I would NOT choose a C section unless I absolutley had to for health reasons. It is a major…

I literally did this to everyone. I think one person made a comment about never being able to feed the baby, so I let them know they could come over while I am at work if it is that important, but otherwise I would be feeding the baby with no exceptions. I kicked into crazy possesive mama bear mode the moment she came out!

I am only six weeks, but still doing my regular routine. Lifting and running 3 days per week and yoga twice per week. I will slow down the running as needed, but that is mostly because I have a bad back and do not want to risk injury once I get bigger. I will also switch to prenatal yoga once my belly gets out there. The…

Thought I would chime in, too. I nursed when with my daughter and pumped while working for over a year, so we had lots of fun with bottles! We adored the Tommee Tippee bottles and the Breast Flow bottles worked well, too. The TT bottles cleaned easier and she perferred them. We always used the slow flow nipples though as…

I agree with this! I plan on asking around as well and maybe even posting an inquiry about it on facebook when I announce the pregnancy. Last time I had people coming out of the woodwork offering up maternity clothes. I did not have to buy much at all.

I just spent the last year getting into shape and losing almost 40 pounds. I had an unhealthy pregnancy with my daughter and gained too much, too . I am only 5 weeks, so I haven't gained any weight yet, but I am a little worried about how I will handle it and how I will make time for my fitness routine once the baby is…

I cannot tell you how reassuring this is!! I am still nursing my toddler and have been sweating every since the day I brought her home. Mostly at night, but it almost had me worried a few times.

The roadmap is awesome! I plan to do a moderate cut from TDEE (probably around 10%) and I will be adding 500 on top of that per day since I will be nursing. I am currently eating 2200 in my first trimester, which is what I ate to maintain once I reached goal. Eating more during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters is one of the…

Thanks!!! We had a really rough start, so I am sometimes even surprised that we are still going. The little stinker did not latch on for 8 weeks, it was horrible. I think my main motivator was the money, too. I am just so thrifty, lol. I have not notified my doc, but I did speak with her about it at my pre-conception…

[/quote] Sorry I cant be anymore help :( I nursed my oldest son to about 2 weeks before he turn one. I too produced a lot of milk and pumping was not an issue once I went back to work. He did well with cow milk, it was costly since he was on organic milk. Now he drinks almond milk. His pediatrician really pushed for the…

I have done a exhaustive research (research is my thing, lol) and know that it is safe to nurse throughout your pregnancy, but not always so comfortable. I am anticipating that my milk will dry up in the second trimester, so I am curious to see if she will wean there or continue to "comfort" nurse just to go to sleep at…

I am continuing to lift in the first trimester and will re-evaluate from there. I do not plan to increase my weights, just stick with the routine I am doing. I currently do a three day split routine similar to LiveFit. I also run two miles three days per week, but my running has slowed down considerably because I am having…

Anyone can add me also. I am only four weeks, but gained over 55 pounds with my daughter and plan NOT to do that this time. I just lost 36 pounds and have been at maintenence for a couple of months. I am not anticipating that I will be thrilled watching my ticker go backwards, but my ultimate goal is that it doesn't get…

Nah. I am sure he has seen me in much more embarassing and compromising positions. edited to add my example of a C-section for all you naughty people.

I think it depends on how sick you are really. I have been battling minor colds and sinus issues for almost a month now, off and on. I did take a week off when I felt lethargic, but have otherwise been at the gym, sometimes at a little less intensity. You have to listen to your body though. Sometimes working out makes you…

This, very much this. Thank you for the link, too. I had not seen this one and love to read these!

I finished the program a few months ago and never missed a day. I have to admit that I was only motivated about half the time though. the rest of it was routine and consistancy, I looked at it then and still look at just like I do brushing my teeth. No way I would skip that! Same concept really since it is just a way to…

This and congrats on your weight lost, OP.

This, to me, seems like a stretch and an over generalization. Not spanking certainly does not mean being "afraid" of your kids. Just like hitting them does not automatically ensure you will have a well behaved child. Conservative or liberal, there are many ways to be a good parent.
-
I have to agree. I am an avid researcher and have yet to find ANY peer reviewed long term studies in favor of spanking, only against it and for multiple reasons. To me, that speaks volumes. I looked into it because I was curious though. We have never had a behavioral episode escalate to the point where we felt the need to…

Maybe you could run all of your numbers on Scooby again to see if you are right on the calroies. Otherwise, maybe you could open your diary? Some foods are more filling than others and I am sure a lot of people here have good advice there if they could see what you are eating. It sounds like you are doing everything right…

I have used it, but much prefer the taste of xylitol, another all natural sweetener.

Hey there! Happened upon this post and wanted to chime in, even though you got some GREAT advice already. My daughter didn't latch for two months and the poster above is correct that pumps do not remove milk as well as a baby. I would suggest trying to get the baby to the breast if you can, even if you struggle at first.…
