  • I love food too!! Turn your love into cooking creatively in the kitchen if you can, this helps me a lot. My family and friends can enjoy all the benefits which I've learned is just as satisfying- maybe more because I still taste small portions and feel better.
  • I don't understand either. Hence the title Help :) "I claim"... no, I am- otherwise I wouldn't have posted a request for sound advice after successfully losing 30 pounds on my own, with no advice or posts. When I was eating processed, low nutrient foods I often went to bed hungry then slept fine. As I have adjusted to high…
  • I do weigh everything on a food scale... everything. I am eating a lot of fiber and feel full after eating. I am trying to stay with healthy fats but sometimes fall under even on those so Im thinking maybe add more fats? I'm afraid to mess with the progress I have made and do feel great as far as energy and nutrition. I am…
  • As I reposted before- I go to bed full and usually wake up hungry a couple of hours into my sleep. Im usually hungry every couple of hours during the day as well, but am awake, so I eat. A reasonable, healthy portion of food/snack
  • Good info! I did all of the TDEE and deficit figuring when I began & lost the first 30 at a healthy, good rate but maybe it's time to revisit and refigure. As the months have gone by I have definitely gotten more active as I feel better. Fitbit- fair question! I don't wear my fitbit when I swim. I do wear it the rest of…
  • Yes- It's weird. I eat until I'm satisfied during the day- trying to manage portions and use self control. But I usually wake up after a couple of hours of sleeping with hunger pangs that don't go away.
  • Wow- thanks for the pep talk :) Looking at my diary, It does seem like around 1100 a day is my average "not hungry anymore" place. Should I add more saturated fats (i know that sounds crazy), maybe that would help me to up caloric intake while still listening to my body's stopping point? I feel excellent though- don't want…
  • I need help with this as well, although I have much more left to lose. The first couple of weeks I thought it was just a plateau but now 6 weeks very little loss and 4 weeks of none. Boo. I log everything and allow 50-100 for mistakes. 1,200 a day.
  • welcome back!! I just returned in July and am sticking to it faithfully this time... it's working!!
  • "Yup - this is def. what I have experienced! I'll hold at a certain weight for a while, and then BOOM, lose 2-3 pounds in a single week. And it won't even be like I did anything different in terms of eating. I will say I've had more success this month because I REALLY changed up my workout routine, by adding in heavy…
  • You explained it great & thanks!! I'm almost obsessive about tracking everything accurately- especially the tastes from cooking dinner for the family. I do think I need to just keep going and be patient. Doing this alone and maybe today needed to hear the support. I have read that in the long haul it's not necessarily the…
  • Thank you. I guess that's exactly what I needed to hear. Patience! You are right, maybe the higher loss that week means only ounces for a few. I'm not gaining. Trying to stay focused on the positive.
  • FYI: - I don't add fitbit activity to MFP because of the double calories earned. - I do regularly use a food scale, ounce glass & measuring cup for more accurate portions. - It says I joined in 4/2012 but begin date is really 7/2014, eat clean for life.
