Well a proper chicken Sunday roast as you describe is typically 800 - 1000 calories. It doesn't look much on the plate but it is a very high calorie meal. Most of the calories are in the chicken skin, roast potatoes

Fried in a small amount of extra virgin olive oil on a ribbed frying pan to drain the fat with lime, garlic and ginger - much better than in the oven. Sometimes top it with Chinese chilli sauce but this has a lot of sugar. Alternatively it's good with pesto on top to compliment whole-wheat pasta

Scraping the barrel here ! It's like one of those posts that says "I vacuumed today can I eat a whole packet of biscuits". Not being rude but you need to change your mindset or the weight will never come off. Just trying to be helpful.

same here - I like to snack on almonds, prawns and reduced fat cheese at night when I'm watching tv so I try and make my evening meal lower in calories to stay within my daily allowance
