  • No. If you did little or no exercise before, and now start doing exercise such as cardio or lifting your BMR will increase, even though you are cutting ! I think people answering yes here are confusing BMR (Basic Metabolic Rate) with BMI (Body Mass Index) and TDEE (which will decrease)
