  • Got my 60 minutes of Strength Training in on the Fitness Coach yesterday and 60 minutes of cardio today with the fitness coach. We did do a little WiiSports yesterday and some boxing on the WiiFit as well. All and all the week is going as planned. You guys keep up the excellent work.
  • Thanks Frank! Good luck with the lawn mowing. I actually quite enjoy that these days. Burn those calories.
  • This is what I would like to know.
  • I take every Sunday off. I get at least 120 minutes of exercise everyday, ST on three of those days, so my muscles really need the time off at the end of the week. Plus, I feel like my workout is that much better when I get back to it Monday morning. It feels amazing actually.
  • Well I've managed to get all my Wii minutes in on the My Fitness Coach this week. Purchased the EA Active and was highly disappointed with it. For me, it is too low impact and not fluent between exercises. Think I'll be sticking with the My Fitness Coach for now. Looks like everyone is doing an amazing job with their…
  • By all means, do not starve yourself the rest of the day. Remember, that when our bodies go three to four hours without fuel, it will start feeding off of our muscle to supply our energy. It's NEVER a good idea to go long periods without food.
  • Well that is definitely not true with my gowearfit. I have no higher calorie count riding my friends harley than I do sitting at my desk, it still will register the same. Unless of course you are post workout, when your body is still burning an ample amount of calories. This device is SPOT ON. Period. When I have a 3500…
  • Well I have a GoWearFit and in my personal opinion, it is well worth the investment and it has been spot on for me and my calculations for weight loss. At the end of the day, weight loss comes by creating a calorie deficit. With the GoWearFit, I can do that accurately and predict progress. It has been an essential tool for…
  • I agree! I have the Wii Fit, EA Active, Jillian's game, and the My Fitness Coach. I really like the cardio on the My Fitness Coach but I love the customization on the Active!
  • The punch out title was originally on the "original" NES, or more commonly known, Nintendo. This is simply a remake of that game for the Wii console. It's a game, not a fitness program. Though I'm sure it will give you quite the workout. I'll probably be picking it up myself, for the nostalgia aspect.
  • You look great...there is your motivation kiddo.
  • I don't have a body bugg but I do have the GoWearFit and I LOVE it! I wear mine from the time I get up until I go to bed. The darn thing has been spot on by my calculations as well. It was well worth the investment.
  • I go picture crazy regardless, so yes, I take progress pictures often. It is a great motivator for me when Darth Scale wants to be a pain.
  • thin4payton ~ I have the My Fitness Coach and love it. I use it for my cardio sessions every day. I would definitely recommend it. slm638 ~ I also have EA Active, but I've yet to start it yet. However, all the reviews, professional as well as user reviews have been quite promising, hence the reason I picked it up. vrdavid…
  • Alright, I'm in for 400 minutes a week, which is what I'm averaging now, with various programs with the Wii platform alone.
  • Sounds good then! I have DDR on the 360 and love it.
  • I just read this article on About.com yesterday. It has some very useful information in it! The author did a great job, here is the original link... http://exercise.about.com/cs/weightloss/a/weightplateaus_2.htm As a writer, I feel it only fair to credit the author when you transfer their work to another site. :)
  • I had the same problem, however, I added post-workout calories via a liquid and they always help up my calorie intake for the day and help jump start the recovery process after working out.
  • I use my Wii everyday for my hour of cardio every other day and 45 minutes of strength training on the opposite days, but I rarely use the Wii Fit, unless I want to add a low impact workout to my cardio days, just to give the ol' metabolism a boost in the afternoon. Regardless, I'd still like to join. Can I simply commit…
  • A general Wii challenge would be great. That way, regardless of what you have you can still participate. At any rate, if you start a challenge, I'm in. :)
  • Calorie cycling! Throw in a few high calorie days to readjust your metabolism. Then switch up your exercise. Our bodies are very smart!
  • I am definitely up for the challenge! Though i prefer the My Fitness Coach cardio in conjunction with the step aerobics with the wii fit. Regardless I'm in! :D
  • I am a size 11 wide! It is extremely difficult to find attractive shoes that also double as good cross trainers in my size. I myself stick with New Balance. They are by far the most comfortable shoe I have every worn and I used to work 12 hours shifts on my feet years back and never had a days trouble out of my feet. So…
  • This is good to hear. I will probably be picking it up soon myself.

  • Actually, you do burn calories while remaining idle, although it is not much. I wear a GoWearFit armband daily and I burn on average anywhere from one to 1.3 calories a minute while simply sitting or being inactive, same thing when sleeping. It's different for everyone, but if you want to know exactly how many calories a…
  • A new treadmill and elliptical...when I finally hit my main goal. ( and probably a trip to a low key destination with white sandy beaches)
  • The algorithms that they use to calculate calories burned are quite generic and don't really take into account extra elements. Though they are still a great guide, however, I found the GoWearFit to be a much more accurate source for knowing exactly how many calories, I specifically am burning throughout the days. It…
  • Well I am a single mother of four boys. 2,4,6 and 9! It's challenging at times, but so much fun!
  • Depends on my workout for the morning, but either a Nutrigrain or power bar. Sometimes, depending on whether that day I'm calorie shifting, I'll have oatmeal or a banana with peanut butter to.
  • That sounds great! And thanks to everyone else that took the time to say hi! :)
