  • I highly recommend trendweight.com if you plan to weigh in every day. It really helps to sort out the daily fluctuations and to give a good indication if you are heading in the right direction or not. It really motivates me if my weigh-ins start to get close to hitting the trend line (which would mean a plateau). I turn up…
  • I do the opposite. If I happen to go over one day I take those calories off the next day. If I go way over somehow I'll divide it over a few days using quick add calories.
  • Walk. It's not going to help at all if you injure yourself. After a couple months of walking you'll feel much better jogging intervals. Also be sure to focus on your diet. It's the hard part but that's really where the weight loss comes from. Exercise just helps it along a little.
  • Not much you can do about the time you are at work unless you can wrangle a walking desk. Focus on getting some exercise when you're not at work, but really concentrate on accurately logging your food and staying within your MFP plan. I started a new job 100 days ago and started back with MFP at the same time. I've lost 36…
  • Try forcing yourself to enter your food in your diary before you eat it. The extra couple min of thinking time and seeing the amount that it's going to push you over might help.
  • I hear that one quite a bit. However if you think about it, if you're at the end of your run and tired can you out sprint someone who is fully rested?
  • Good shoes might help with the back pain, I know lots of women who make horrible footwear choices. If you have a school with a track near you they are usually open to the public when not in use, they are a little more cushioned then walking on concrete.
  • It takes a while to adjust to just drinking plain water since for most people they have had only flavored drinks for years on end. Like anything else you can quit flavored stuff cold turkey or you can wean yourself off it slowly. Please do the planet and your wallet a favor and skip the bottled water. Buy a nice stainless…
  • I'd add drink lots of water. Those 3 are the key. If you look at any fad diet/exercise/"treatment" they all really base themselves on those 3 simple rules even if they don't admit it.
  • When I used to mountain bike I once startled a deer at the bottom of a really fast downhill. He took off in the same direction I was going but about 10 yards on the other side of a fence. After a couple hundred feet he look over and I could read his mind "OMG WTF how is he still catching me!!!" Then he broke left and was…
  • If you have videos that you can't do all of the moves you can always modify the move to something you can do. It's really more important to keep moving and not injure yourself than doing the exact move they show.
  • Down 13.8 pounds in the first month. Less food, more exercise. It's like magic...
  • As far as logging I'd start out just logging what you're currently eating then look at the numbers. You'll quickly see what you can and can't fit into your daily calories and decide that some things just aren't worth it. Change your eating slowly or it will be really hard to stick with it. It's easier for me to eat less of…
  • I find it best to weigh in right after I wake up and before I eat or drink anything. Make sure you keep the amount of clothing the same for each weigh in also to keep the results a little more accurate.
  • No phone that I've ever seen holds GPS signal as well as a dedicated GPS unit does. The result is that your position bounces around with the phone and adds distance because it thinks you went 10ft to this side then 30ft the other way over and over.
  • Just rinse the can out in the sink before you throw it away. Actually I have an extra step that I do. I let the dog and cat clean out the can, then I rinse it, then toss it.
  • You can also make a fist and do them on your knuckles. You'll probably want padding of some sort though.
  • I'd recommend these. http://scoobysworkshop.com/zero-to-100-pushups-for-complete-beginners/ http://scoobysworkshop.com/pullups-for-total-beginners/

  • I met my wife while she was dating my best friend. Later on he was the best man at our wedding.
  • Rayne is a dachshund / beagle mix that we rescued from the pound. She goes just about every where with us.
  • Sounds like a great idea. Until you find out that the health dept. is going to require you to have a commercial kitchen to make and package it in.
  • I guess my question got lost since it was at the bottom of the page...
  • So how does this work out for someone who is really heavy? I have a BMR of 3098 and a TDEE of 4260. Even eating at my calculated BMR seems to be too much. I've been tracking my food for about a week and using the MFP calculated numbers that have me eating about 2650/day. I've felt fine and not really been hungry at all…
  • The difference is that in 10 years they will all have gained 50lbs, if you keep doing what you're doing you'll still look good.
