I think exercise cal's are based on a general rule of thumb for each exercise. HRM may help you better calculate calories you burn specifically for you. Honestly I would set a tast of everything aside and tell yourself you can have them once all the rest is given away and eaten. I like to cook and bake alot and if I have left overs they go to the neighbors and to work before I can have mine....otherwise I end up justify one more and one more :)

Those situations are so hard especially if they sneak up on you :) Now I plan in my mind every meal ahead of time and I include something I am really looking forward to in the future so I am less likely to stray.
