So Q's don't count? That's pretty divisive, Miss Emma, to not include those questioning their gender. Oh me? I'm cismale, heterosexual.

I've been by multiple people I look like Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith. I don't buy it.

I've always heard a different answer to that question. It was considerably shorter. And less depressing. But in retrospect, that other answer didn't provide a reasonable explanation, it was just a bunch of numbers. Your answer is plausible. Poor Six.

Oh geez. I saw the bomb article. Good to see they showed some restraint--stopping just shy of step-by-step instructions.

Wife likes everything Disney, and I'm indifferent, so: Most recent: Finding Dory 2nd most recent: Beauty and the Beast (2017)

As promised: - Biscuits and gravy (the pic posted earlier reminded me) - Listening to talk radio - Playing devil's advocate - Hating small talk - Watching Jeopardy religiously - Going to church religiously - Wordplay (and stupid puns)

I got the Electric Chair. This guy Kemmler survived, at least for a while. Edison helped develop the electric chair in an effort to smear Westinghouse/Tesla's creation--AC power--by branding it as more deadly than Edison's DC. Of course, he's still credited with the light bulb, but most people don't know Edison's darker…

Guilty pleasures: - Waking up at 4:45, even on the weekends; - Watching cartoons--not just Family Guy/Simpsons, old Hanna-Barbara stuff too; - Being indifferent to baseball (in the St. Louis area where I'm from, everyone's passionate about baseball); - Gaming (I feel guilty because I know it's unproductive); - Going to the…

I can be a no-fun word fascist too. "Crucifixion" is derived from the Latin for attachment (-fixion) to a cross (-cruc). Nothing in the word itself implies death.

How much free time do you have? Do you have a favorite genre?

An interesting question, this one. When the questioner says "milk", does he mean it in the American sense (that is, 'milk' = cow's milk)? Let's say so. It may just be a pop culture thing, but when an animal gets abducted by aliens, isn't it a curious fact that the animal is nearly always a cow? Which begs the questions:…

EDITED again. There's no way to really tie this in, except to say that it's OK to be different, and I can appreciate those who don't care what other people think. (I thought there was a way to delete a post?)

I've always been an "ideas" person--not a "people" person. "Ideas" people are underappreciated--except for those people whose ideas change the world. You've heard of many of those people. I want to talk to people about ideas. And it's hard for "idea" people to take "people" people seriously. The downside is, I'm…

That's worthy of debate. MBTI has its proponents, and people who think it's all crock. Those personality summaries don't explain 100% of anyone's personality. But for many people it comes remarkably close.

Introverts comprise 1/3 to 1/2 of the U.S. population (depending on what study you read). Not enough people realize this, because introverts are (by nature) less visible in the public square. Knowing my MBTI type did help me, but I understand not everyone has been in my position. I'm an introvert raised by extrovert…

INTP. Married to an ISFJ. I'll never change from being an IxxP, but I'm starting to embrace my inner F in recent years.

Come on man, it's too early in the day for this. . .

If YOU are in debt, and wonder why the banks keep lending you money, two words: Dave Ramsey. Financial Peace University is a 9-week class about how to handle money and get out of debt. Classes are held all over the country.

Banks lending money to individuals has nothing to do with the national debt. I'm guessing something in MFP's terms prohibits talking about politics? (So I'll stop there.)

I saw that California's lawyer certification exam thing had a pass rate of 43%, based on July 2016's testing. Lowest pass rate in over 30 years. What do you think?: Are law schools an 'epic fail' in California? Or are hopeful lawyers failing to prepare for the most important exam of their lives?

This is getting out of hand. Let's reset. We have to start somewhere, so we'll start with the main premise that OP is 100% truthful. Surely the whole point of this thread is defeated if she's purposely lying. So OP is 100% truthful. But remember that one's declaration of truthfulness is relative to the individual's…

I jump around different iHeart and TuneIn stations. For the last couple days I've been on iHeart's "Hawai'i No Ka Oi".

Two-parter: If you could ask yourself a question, then answer it, what would that question be? What would your answer be?

If I understand, it's quite possible I'm in this same trap. Because if there's food in the open, I graze. And when I order something at a restaurant, I never leave leftovers. But I'm generally only put in these situations during special occasions. However, there are a lot of special occasions in the spring--and I don't…

Everyone's being a bit tough on OP. She didn't promise correctness--she promised "truthful". So I believe she truthfully doesn't know who killed JR (which I don't know either), or the next generation's equivalent, who shot Mr. Burns? Maggie Simpson. The one with the question about the velocity of a laden swallow didn't…

You can tell Panera (Bread Co. to me) is at least health-conscious. I'd say that Panera is pricey--my bill's around $20 for two--but if you've been to Subway recently you can't get 2 subs and drinks for less than $15. We don't eat out every day, so I'll happily pay an extra $5 for considerably better quality. On-menu…

I can appreciate cutting down on processed foods, carbs, and sugars. If for no other reason--and this is something that applies to me but perhaps not everyone--carbs generally aren't filling. Sugar's definitely not filling. I have a history with the Paleo diet in conjunction with a calorie goal, so I know that when you do…

You might Google "Willoughby Athlete Weight". It's an ideal weight calculation based on a study of world class athletes, so it accounts for extra muscle. My ideal weights based on your formulas are below: Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal weight is 171.2 lbs Based on the Miller formula (1983), your ideal…

Some of us don't know what Dr Fung recommends. What is it? I doubt it'll replace what I'm already doing, but it should open up some good, healthy banter!
