Kim, I totally agree with you - the effect of drinking water has really helped increase my rate of weight-loss as well. Bottoms up! :)

KIm, great job on water today! I found that drinking that much water made me not hungry, too. So that's probably a factor in why you don't want to eat after 2 p.m. I read somewhere (sorry, don't remember where) that it's not good for the body to go more than 12 hours without eating (initiates starvation-mode), so I always…

Congrats on the 2-lb weight-loss! You have every reason to be proud of that accomplishment, especially since you now weigh less than you did 2 years ago. Way to go! and Keep up the good work! Am looking forward to seeing your numbers on Sunday.

I don't know how to load pictures, either. Will let you know as soon as I find out, if you haven't already figured it out by then!

Some nutritional ideas: 1. Ensure 3 servings of vegetables per day. 2. Replace 1 meat portion with beans or lentils per day. 3. Reach 100% calcium intake for the day. 4. Replace white rice with brown rice. 5. No alcohol. 6. No candy. 7. No cookies. 8. No cheese. Whataya'll think? :)

Did you drink those remaining 3 glasses of water?! :)

Can the challenges be posted the night before? I can't check MFP at work (firewall restrictions). Thanks!

My boxer thought that I was playing a new game when I was exercising today - he really loved the jump roping (I did air jumps), and he started bouncing happily in circles around me while I was jump roping!

After I was repairing from a shattered wrist injury, I worked into push-ups gradually by starting off with modified push-ups on my closed fists instead of on the palms of my hands. And I did push-ups on my knees instead of full-body. Over time, I gradually was able to start doing them on my hands, a few at a time, and then…

You could try adding frozen cauliflower to your drink - it gives the drink a nice creamy texture and helps make the protein powder more palatable. Also, as the cauliflower is frozen, the drink is very COLD, which helps even more. I drink veggie-shakes all the time. Sometimes the fluid I use is soy milk, sometimes just…

As a recent PhD graduate, I can say that it is awesome that you are beginning your weight-loss journey BEFORE going to grad school. Grad school is the part of my life that I gained weight, because I was not paying attention to my health. I wish you the very best of success in both weight-loss and in grad school!

Congratulations! You've accomplished a lot, and your hard work shows. Great inspiration!
