I will be 53 next week and run, on average, 6 days a week. To be honest, when I got into the higher mileage, my husband asked me to choose between lifting or running. There just wasn't enough hours in the day to do both. I chose running and haven't looked back.

I'm kicking off 2015 with a marathon (#3 for me) this Saturday, Valentine's Day, The Mississippi River Marathon. Three weeks after that, March 7, will be a 50K, the Mississippi 50 Trail run. Three weeks after that, March 28, a Half Marathon, the Viking Half Marathon in Greenwood, Mississippi. Then, I take a little break…

2 miles for December 2.
-
I took a quick peek for the December challenge. Didn't see it but to be honest didn't look very hard, either. Busy morning. To keep myself honest, though, I'll just say Dec 1, 8.00 miles.

Seeing as I live in the country, my runs are usually on asphalt and/or gravel surfaces.

Hey, all. I'm Mel. I'm 52 yo. Married 30 years to MFH (My Favorite Husband). We live in the country in Mississippi and have two adult children. As far as running is concerned, I average between 150-175 miles a month. I've run some marathons and one 50K. 2015 plans are a Marathon on Valentine's Day then three weeks later…

Can I jump in for 150 miles (give or take)?
-
I've been waiting for this post to make the rounds again because I would love to mentor a few people. I've been on MFP since March of 2012 and have lost a grand total of 170 pounds. I am 52 yo and am a marathoner and Ultra marathoner. Love, love, love running. When I started on MFP, I could barely walk across a room let…

Wow! What a week! So sorry!!! Have a good run tomorrow.

Out for the rest of November. Messed up my ankle. Will be spending the month in a boot. December, I will try again. #determined

I didn't reach my goal for October. 4.75 miles short. All things considered, with how very strange October was, I'll take it!
-
YAY! I made it to 100 miles today! I was getting nervous that I wouldn't break triple digits this month. It's been a very strange month for me. Hoping November is better!

Thanks for the link. I still cannot find it anywhere without the link! I updated Sunday and today's run. If your message ever goes away...I am sunk. HA!
-
I can't find a thing. I'd like to log today's 26.2 miles. How/where do I do that!?!
-
Haha! That's exactly what I am doing right now! I ran my 50K July 26 and the marathon is next Sunday. However, you probably DON'T want to do it how I am doing it, ie: getting that silly concussion and missing pretty much the last month of marathon training. Sunday should be interesting! Seriously, though, my plan up to…

I like Sonic's idea, myself. No. You won't die. You will think you are. But you won't. The funny thing that is going to happen is that you are going to sign up for another one. And then a Half Marathon because you figure if you can run 6.2 miles, what's a few more to make it 13.1. Right!?! It's a slippery slope. I see a…

I have a large Spibelt and it'll hold the kitchen sink if you want it to.

The Loft skinny jeans Petite, Size 0. Fit like a dream.

I really don't know what kind of miles to put down for October. Taper, race, recovery...I'll guess at 120 miles.
-
Well, I did not make my goal for this month. Sad Panda. But for not being able to run for 2 weeks, if came out okay. Chicago bound!
-
Todd, I am sooooo proud of you!!! It has been a blast getting to watch you progress towards your goals. You are a very determined person and have a super supportive family behind you! Congratulations to you and to your wife and girls. I know that all of you are celebrating your success!!!

No. Way. Isn't sugar the foundation of the food pyramid? Or is that beer? I get them confused.

I eat the real deal (no low cal, low fat ice cream for me) and toss some yummy chocolate chips on top, because they are tasty!

My job at McD's paid my way through college. The only bad thing, well two things now that I thing about it: The poor man who had a heart attack in the lobby and died before help arrived~that was very, very sad. 2nd, the pervert who came through drive thru naked and tried to grab and pull me through the drive thru window.…

You are too old for running. (I'm 52) Besides, it's not ladylike.
-
Today was my first run since my concussion on Labor Day. 11 miles. I will not let this thing defeat me. #Determined.

I am retired and am now a housewife. My time is kinda my own. Kinda. One of the things I do is run. It is scheduled into my day. I average close to 50 miles a week, that is when I don't have a silly concussion. I've only run one 50K so far. Planning on my second this coming March. Throw in a few marathons here and there…

Mt. Dew. I was just a little kid when it came out. As a promotion, they had you collect the bottle caps. After you had collected the correct number of bottle caps and sent them in, they would mail you a Daisy Air-Rifle! I still have mine!!! It still works, too!

I've been counting down the days with you to this very special day! I am so proud of you and feel privileged to have you as a friend! This goes waaaaayyyyy beyond Congratulations and Kudos and Woo-Hoo! I am at a total loss for words (which you know, does NOT happen!) to tell you how happy I am for you. Savor your day, my…

Wow...where to begin! In reality, I don't have a lot of chaffing issues anymore since I stopped wearing my HRM. I do have scars on "the girls" from that thing. Ugh! I will admit to having ugly runners feet. I am almost always babying my toenails. Some of them just come off while others are just plain old, very thick scabs.…
