  • Thanks for your help. I'm going to have to figure out how to back off now  I'm very competitive, especially with myself and I'm very driven to accomplish things.. I just need to set my sights a little lower for now. On the nutrition piece, what do you recommend for the post-run stuff? Typically, I try to eat…
  • Wonderful!! Great job!
  • Great job!! I've been working my way up to my first 5K myself.. I had a minor set back with a knee injury.. but I'm looking forward to getting back into it!
  • ^^^ This.
  • Amazing transformation!! Great job!
  • the wraps and sandwich thins are good options... as well as salads.. cut up fruits/veggies... I personally like pita/hummus or pretzel thins/hummus.. there's lots of low cal munchies. There's a thread on the forums here with like 100 different snacks under 100 calories too.
  • Just took the test again... INTJ (used to be ISTJ), but I was barely on the N side this time.
  • Wonderful! Keep up the good work! With dedication, results come!
  • thanks for the list!
  • Wow! You look great! Nice job!!
  • We have the Breville Juice Fountain Plus: http://www.brevilleusa.com/beverages/juicers/juice-fountain-plus-je98xl.html
  • We bought a Breville Juice Fountain for about 150 bucks. The cost was prohibitive at first for our produce. We have a Costco membership and discovered a more economical way to make it. We make mostly Carrot/Spinach base juice. I can get 10lbs of carrots for 5.50, 2.5lbs of spinach for 3.50 or so. Those two together make…
  • Yes.. we asked around on juicers also. The juicer does make a difference. The one we have basically pulverizes the fruit/vegetables and the juice goes into a pitcher, all of the pulp/fiber gets separated out into another bin and discarded. The idea of juicing it instead of eating it.. I don't think I can physically eat…
  • As I said.. I've experienced this myself. I wouldn't post it if it didn't happen. I went a full 30 days without any food, drinking juice. I was regular all the way up to the end.. I'd call that a good clean out. The Blood/Body detox, I was eating all natural not processed. The stomach shrinkage was also mostly on the 30…
  • We've been using NOW Spirulina powder. It works well.. but be careful on the dosage. Too much and everything tastes kind of fishy as it's derived from seaweed/kelp.
  • we've taken and cubed up leftover chicken (it was mostly unseasoned), added italian seasoning, and a little garlic to it.. once it was cooked up (use a little water in the pan or light olive oil), put in a pita/wrap of choice, add lettuce, tomato, and light dressing of choice. Quick, easy, and healthy. We've also added…
  • Barbeque... I've been an amateur smoker for years. I've mostly given up Ribs and the fattier cuts. I trim my briskets of most of the fats.. and I aim for the leaner pork, chicken, and turkey cuts for the most part... ..but there's just something I love about that smoky flavor. And, since I make it, it's not completely…

  • Welcome! Glad to see another person getting fit! I'm an IT Geek.. nice to meet ya. Feel free to add me if ya like.
  • Been a gamer a long time.. I started back in the Wolf3D and Doom days.. played internet MUDs.. etc. I, too, was an EQ junky for more years than I want to admit... played a little DaoC, some FFXI, and then on to WoW for several years also.. Currently, I play D3 and a lot of FPS games online. Add me up if ya want. My game…
  • I sent you a request also.. I'm coming up on 50lbs lost.. working out 5-6 days a week and I've committed to running a 5K this fall.
  • ^^ This. Except.. I love the elliptical because it's easier on my knees. However.. I've had to mix it up and now I alternate strength/cardio from day to day to keep my body always getting something different.
  • Good job! Keep up the good work!!
  • Gonna have to try this one. I might have to sub the tomatoes for some sun dried or something to kill a little of the tomato flavor.. but that's a preference.
  • Egg whites/Egg Beaters is good and low cal. I eat Greek Yogurt with a handful of almonds in it a lot and thats ~225 cals or so. Also, I've switched from dairy milk over to Rice or Almond milk. If you use the unsweetened almond milk.. its 35 cals/cup (Silk brand). The sweetened is like 60 cals/cup. I generally eat Cheerios…
  • Exactly.. add me too if ya want.
  • Wow! incredible transformation! Good for you!
  • IMHO, use what works for you. Everyone has different body chemistry and different dietary needs. For me, I try not to lean on meal replacement shakes or supplements because I should strive to eat healthy enough that I'm getting the vitamins and nutrients that my body needs. If you're busy, go for it. It's quick and easy to…
  • I found this article on another post here... helped me immensely. http://fitnesswithnatalie.blogspot.com/2011/05/most-dreaded-word-in-weight-loss.html
  • What do you like? I mean.. there's eggs, nuts, greek yogurt, and then like amy suggested.. there's shakes and powder addititves.
  • Dude.. that's incredible. Congrats!! You're an inspiration!
