I would say there are healthier options. Check ingredients and don't put anything in your body you can't pronounce. There are all natural shakes or yogurt smoothies out there which I would opt for if I were wanting to replace a capuccino (which actually is not all that bad for you...:indifferent: ), but I would definitely…

It's kind of like the "burden" of wealth. Most everyone wants to be rich and have plenty of money, but when you do.... you have to worry and stress about how to manage it, etc. If you were so poor you didn't know where your next meal was coming from or if you would get to eat today, you wouldn't need to count calories. You…

Oh I so want to comment on this! But I'm packing for a week long trip so I'm just bumping it and will comment next week. Check your "my topics" then! lol

Welcome to MFP. This site is just the tool you need! Just enter EVERYTHING (good day or bad) and keep plugging away. You WILL get under 200 pounds... way under. Good luck!

Stevia all the way! There's different varieties... some flavored etc, but it's most def the best option. That or raw sugar of course... but count the calories if you go with sugar. :drinker: <-- mugs full of coffee! Mmm....

I made this tonight for my husband, sister, and little nephews and everybody LOVED it! I've never made ANYTHING barbeque before but it turned out GREAT!!! Thanks so much for this recipe! My sister does Weight Watchers so she really appreciated knowing the point values too! Two thumbs up! Will DEFINITELY make again! Thanks!

Well I hope it all works out. At the end of the day, the most important relationship that you should have for the rest of your life is the one with your husband. Make sure that one is right because you may move away from your sisters, at some point your mom will pass away, but you'll still be with your husband. Don't…

I would say 75% of the foods I select have the correct info. But if we're all checking, I bet we can get that up to 95%! Thanks everybody for making MFP more reliable!!! :drinker:

Oooo... I like that.
-
Aw... do they not like your fiance? Have they ever said anything negative about him since you've been dating?

When you're adding a food to a meal and you see the right one in the list, click on it and on the right hand side where you choose serving size, click "nutrition info" and a box will pop up. In that box it shows the nutrition info and says on the right side "Is this info correct?" and you can click yes, no, or I don't…

Hey I know this is an old thread but oh my goodness, you GOTTA check out Dave Ramsey. We went from thinking we were going to have to file bankruptcy to being COMPLETELY debt free without credit counseling services, screwing up our credit, or paying anybody to do anything for us. We will NEVER go back in debt for anything…

Personally I sort of accidentally gave up soda. I had drunk diet for a few years trying to lose weight, but when I started weight watchers several years ago they had as part of the plan that you should drink at least 6 glasses of straight water a day. So, I started drinking water with meals (it saves ya $2 every time you…

Welcome to MFP! You'll  it! And good luck with your competition!

One word of advice: LOG EVERYTHING and be honest about portion sizes. Eventually you start thinking "I don't want to use x amount of calories on that" because logging forces you to face reality. Using this site you will definitely meet your goals one day at time. Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou:

I've experienced the same thing several times. It actually made me alter my goals. I've lost more consistently setting my goal loss to "1.5 pounds per week" rather than 2 and always eating all my calories including exercise. There really is something to the whole starvation mode thing. And there are other things that play…

Today will put us one day CLOSER to our goals instead of one day farther away if we live it right!
-
Could you make your food diary public so everybody could see it? Maybe we could help more with some more information. We're all in this together and the great thing about this site is we all have the same goal - to be healthier - and we all want to help eachother get there. :flowerforyou:
-
I don't know if it would help you or not, but I started losing MUCH quicker when I bumped mine down from 2 to 1.5 pounds per week and always eat my exercise calories. There really is something to the whole "starvation mode" thing they talk about.

It sounds like you're eating good whole foods. Probably the only thing I would recommend is incorporating some snacks. You can bring a Kashi granola bar in your backpack or dark chocolate dreams peanut butter (one of my favorite things in the world) in tupperware and an apple travel nicely. If you had a little cooler-type…

Woo HOO!!! Keep going girl! That's awesome! :drinker:
-
Are you logging everything including drinks and sauces and everything? Is your activity level set appropriately?
-
Mmm... Sounds good. 1 question. Is Sabra a brand name or a type of hummus?
-
What'd you set your goal loss to? 2 pounds per week?
-
Of course sandwiches... along with fresh fruit. Apples, Bananas, and Peaches all travel really well. Packs of apple sauce and pineapple in its own juice and some other canned fruit don't necessarily have sodium.. check the packages. You can also buy tortillas and make wraps. What you really need is some good tupperware.…

Aw... well if you want chinese, go eat moo goo gai pan and egg drop soup. But if you don't, don't. Really it's not that big of a deal in the whole scheme of things. Your life doesn't revolve around lunch. Hope your day is as beautiful and sunshiney as mine is here!

WOO HOO!!! I remember when I first started doing that instead of passing out after 30 seconds. You're doing a GREAT job and before you know it you'll be running 5 minutes, then 10, then 15.... let us all know when you sign up for your first 5k! Personally, I'm up to 30 minutes now and 2.5 miles. I REALLY…
