My advice would be... 1) Offer (politely insist) on helping with dinner some because "it just isn't fair for her to do all the work even though she's so sweet to be willing". You can at least buy a giant bag of frozen broccoli to add to the meal or make a salad or pick up fresh fruit from the market on your way home or…

Eat them and enjoy them and yes, track them. This is how logging calories is different from gimmick diets. There aren't any tricks or "free foods" or "off limits" forbidden foods... it's real life calories eaten vs. calories burned so everything counts. I wouldn't say "portion control" vegetables as in limiting them, just…

Here's what MFP has on Carrabba's but I'm not sure how accurate all of the numbers are. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/carrabbas Chicken Bryan is one of my favorite better options... a huge meal for 540 calories. The bread and olive oil are your biggest calorie traps: STAY AWAY! And you may want to go…

Sometimes you just hit a slow spot.. they happen. Make sure you're logging accurately, getting good nutrition, and plenty of water as others have said. You can also change your calorie goal down 100 calories or so for a week and then bump it back up if you want... playing with the calorie goal helps me but don't go too low.

As much as I would rather NOT have to log (because I also think about it constantly during the day), I gain when I don't and I lose when I do. Since I want to lose right now, I'm logging. Plain and simple.

Well sounds like a good idea. I got a multi, fish oil, and a probiotic. When I actually take them I'll be sure to log. Now if only MFP tracked things like B vitamins and magnesium and such....

How many hours do you normally sleep at night? If you make your food diary viewable maybe we could check it out and give some tips. B vitamins is one of the first things that come to mind for me....

Just remember a consensus of the majority may still be incorrect. We should never become arrogant but seek truth in all things... and be open to finding it. :flowerforyou:

Toasted first to really bring out the flavor? Sounds like a good idea!

Oooo I bet cumin, cilantro, and lime juice would be good! Ps. Good idea about sodium... but how do you rinse it without losing your tuna down the sink with the water?

Ps. 264 calories total, 8 grams Fiber 26 grams Protein

It's an awesome quick calorie-burner!

But your coworkers never will...

Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou:

My guess would be socialism - the new american economic structure.... "Tax credits", ssi, government (i.e. tax-payer) -subsidized housing, cell phones, debit cards, healthcare... all are available for the taking, paid for by those who work. Not to mention you can finance anything these days between car loans, credit cards,…

It's not in the genre of "Contemporary Christian Music" but I like Survivor by Destiny's Child. And Going the Distance by Cake. I don't use worship songs for entertainment so I wouldn't really know what to recommend in that area... but there are lots of clean songs out there to rev up your workouts!

5'9" and the smallest I've ever been was 149 and wore 8's to 10's depending on the cut. 145 is my ultimate goal.

They say you should gradually increase your fiber intake so that you don't have gas and bloating and all that fun stuff, but more fiber is definitely a good thing when coming from whole foods.
-
Aw... well thank you for your service to our country. I hope you're able to eat those homecooked meals again soon... in safety... for the rest of your life. :flowerforyou:

Just list your ingredients on this site, select number of servings, and calculate. http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php?process=resubmit&count=29

It will make more like a frozen yogurt pop... which can still be good... but it won't have the texture of frozen yogurt. The reason they require an ice cream maker is so the machine is constantly whipping air into the yogurt as it freezes, which gives it that scoopable texture.

Is it safe to have a heart rate that high? That sounds a little scary to me. But my medical knowledge is limited... I guess I'd probably check with a doctor to make sure my heart wouldn't explode! lol :embarassed:

I lost 85 pounds on weight watchers eating exercise calories (they called it activity points) 4 years ago and 25 pounds eating exercise calories, on MFP last year. I didn't force myself to eat if I didn't feel hungry. But if my body was asking for food and I had spare calories, I ate. Exercise increases the amount of…
