Hello Sassy! Welcome, and it's great that you're doing well so far. The first couple days of a new thing are the hardest, so if you're rockin' those, then you're off to a great start! See you around... :)
-
I did great on Thanksgiving day - I had planned, and was motivated. Definitely went off the charts yesterday, though... Luckily, i have 3 days to get back on track before WI. :)

Sounds like you're working really hard to keep things normal - even though it's really not a normal time at all for you. Hope you've got lots of good support around you. I had a good WI today - down 1.4. I'm pretty glad, but a little anxious about making through 5 days of family holiday (food wise, not people wise. :) )

It kinda is, (I just came around a couple weeks ago) but there isn't a lot of activity. (:() I do check in pretty often, though. There's a thread in the WW group here called "Daily Checkin" (or something similar) that I and a couple other people use to talk about how it's going. Why don't you join us there?
-
Aww... Really sorry, there's no way to be prepared for that mind of loss. Praying for you and your family!!
-
Emily, thanks for the encouragement, and thanks for joining us.
-
Glad you're taking it in stride. :) You're right - it's no big deal.
-
Hey Libbi! Glad you're back :) I was feeling lonely. lol! How's it going?

I am doing ww online, but I like to come by MFP for the community. Feel free to friend me if you'd like. :) - H

How did your talk go? Hope it was good... Let us (me?) know. :)

Yeah, I'm starting to think about Thanksgiving too. I think I'll offer to make a side or two rather than desserts, b/c I always feel very "committed" to my desserts, and have to taste them multiple times (warm, cool, refrigerated) to make sure they're just right! If I make some yummy low point sides, I'll know I can fill…

daily check in: eating very light today - going to dinner at friends' tonight - she loves rich, heavy foods and desserts. Don't know if ill find much ww-friendly food there! Saving all my points for that. Prob. just going to count all my weekly points toward tonight as well and lightly the rest of this week.

My daily check in: Good day so far... I am about to head to the store and stock up on fruits and veggies. I'm going to make ratatouille (my obsession) when I get home. I'm the only one who really likes it, so it's my lunch for days!! (only 3 points for a huge serving). I'm also going to buy a mandolin so the slicing…

That's a great story. So you must have kept most of that weight off! What a success. My day is fine today - kind of busy and stressful, so I want to keep an eye on my food. (Also i'm taking the kids to get frozen yogurt for a treat. :) ) My main goal this week is to be totally OP!!
-
Wow, sounds exciting! you'll have to fill us in on the long story sometime. :) I'm starting a new week, and I always love that. Lost 4 pounds in my first week, I realize that every week will not be like that, but I'm pretty excited none the less. I am hoping in the next week to bust past 183. I seemed to keep getting hung…

Excellent! This is motivating. Thanks for posting. I'll weigh in tomorrow, and hope to have something positiive to post. :)

So far, it's a hungry day. :) Need to make sure I fill up on fruits and veggies and have a protein rich lunch. WI is tomorrow, and i really want to see some action!

I am currently doing WWonline, but I visit MFP for the community. I think there's definitely a more active bunch here, or maybe it's just that the site is easier to navigate. I would say that if you need a bit more structure, or ideas about what to eat, then WW has some benefits. There are quite a few people on MFP who eat…

I would love to join your daily check in. :) I'm a week and a half in to WW online, and am so glad to be doing it! I have also done WW before, in between babies etc., and joined again b/c I've been having a lot of trouble getting traction. (Still need to lose weight from baby 19 months old!) I have approx. 40 pounds to go,…

Hi! So I'd like to join this group - is it up and running, or being closed down? I'm confused. :) Thanks!
-
Bumpin' - just wondering if there's any input based on "part 2" of my info. Thanks, friends!

Thanks, all, for your encouragement. So, hate to be bad news bears, but no inches, either. Not a one. Re: working out, it's VERY sporadic. I haven't been able to figure out how to make it part of my schedule. I have myself set at "light" activity... I guess I feel unsure about this. I have 5 kids (young teen all the way…

Almond Coconut Chia Butter 1 Tbsp = 75 calories, 4 carbs, 7g fat, 2g protein, 2g fiber • 2 cups raw almonds, pan roasted (or just by roasted almonds) • ¼ cup shredded, unsweetened, reduced fat coconut (I use “Let’s Do Organic”) • ¼ c honey (or use 2 packets of stevia to save a few calories) • 2 TBSP chia seeds • 1 tsp sea…

Actually, I think that drinking 1% or skim is a good idea. The saturated fats in dairy aren't the best. Fats from nuts, avocados, olive oils are the best. I was just reading yesterday about how the thinking on fats is developing - it's kind of complicated - like what chain of fatty acids make up the particular fat. I do…

Go Txgirl, Go!! You can totally see a difference - esp in your face and upper arms. You must feel very proud. :) Keep it up!

Yay! And thanks for the encouragement to us all. Really good news!

Yay! That's awesome - the great part is knowing you're doing the healthy thing for your body.
