Hi jgirl, thanks for joining us! The fact that the workouts are so short was the main appeal to me too, and it's amazing what changes 30 minutes a day can make! i hope this group serves as a useful tool to keep you motivated... you CAN do it!!! Only YOU can change YOU. Oh and Jillian too - when she kicks your butt (purely…

Workout 12 is done!!! I've not really got much to say today, my progress pretty much echos yesterdays comment. I've seen a massive improvement in my strength and balance. I didn't go lower than 5.5's on the moves, and i can match tempo of balance moves with much improved form. I loved my little round of applause at the…

Fantastic burn!! GO YOU!!! Those knees do take some punishment in phase 2 & 3, lots more plyo! Try to land softly on a slightly bent knee rather that stiff legs, ensure you have supportive footwear, and do the workout on a carpeted area rather than a bare floor, helps cushion the blow for me!

Brilliant work ladies - cardio isn't a girl's best friend sometimes but i'm so proud of you for pushing through it! Sweat is GOOD - it means you're doing it right!!
-
You're all doing so well! don't forget - you are getting stronger with every workout... keep them coming!!!

I'm on my last day of BR tomorrow, but there are plenty of other BR buddies here who are at various stages of the program. We are all happy to support you on your journey!

Hi Tracy! Your goal sounds just like my starting aim when i came to MFP one year ago. I'm pleased to say that i hit my goals, even though, to begin with, i was a complete exercise-phobe...i couldn't get past day 3 of a workout DVD! Jillian definitely changed my outlook on working out at home, and now i love it. She's given…

I did my final WO11 today and it's crazy to discover how much i've improved strength and balance-wise. I can now hold chaturanga for the full 30 seconds (still on knees though) compared to having to pause halfway on my first attempt. My balance was near perfect on the jumping libertys (matched speed to those on DVD)…

Hi Stacy, welcome to our group! So glad to hear you are experiencing changes already - that's the perfect motivation to keep you going! It's also great to hear that you're not reliant on just the scale for progress reports - they can be evil sometimes! :grumble:

It's mad how we get so much pleasure out of getting our butts kicked by Jillian!!
-
Great Job Angie!! :drinker: Cardio 3 is my fav workout of all in BR.It's FAB! And i can totally relate to that BUZZING feeling of yours....LOVE IT! I noticed that she "forgets" a couple of moves too, but i hate pivoting high knees anyway so i wasn't too fussed about it's absence  She also swaps jumping high kicks…

I can relate to how you feel, i too think i'm "lazy" on a rest day, so you can guarantee i always end up doing some sort of strenuous household job like cleaning the bathroom from top to bottom. I learnt the hard way about the importance of rest though, i did the 30 day shred in 30 consecutive days and i had a MASSIVE…

I was lucky enough to be given this as a gift by my lovely friend Peggy :flowerforyou: Although i've only completed the first one and a bit chapters so far it already makes very interesting reading! I have always been a bit naive about "organic" foods and the like, classing them as overpriced and only bought by "snobs",…

I did 6 wheel push-ups in a row woo-hoo! Ok, so they weren't as low as the guys on the DVD and were done more quickly, but hey it's a tough move to master!
-
I'm so glad to hear the workout seems somewhat "easier" to push through! You ladies are just amazzzzing!!
-
Perhaps you could come down onto your forearms in plank? Or maybe just start of with a very small range of motion to begin with until you master the stability? You're trying your best so credit to you!
-
lol @ the supermans with 5's, i admire your sheer determination!!
-
Everyone is doing great! These workouts are MADE to CHALLENGE us... all Jillian asks for is YOUR BEST...nothing more, nothing less. Keep pushing through, you're stronger than you think!

Hi Ecco, Vicki, 2007me, Treggie and change4five! It's great to have you as part of the crew! 2007me - i'm afraid i can't comment about slow weight loss as i'm in maintenance, but you are more than welcome to create your own topic if you would like to? I will mention though that i think it's important to gauge progress on…

welcome to the group! i have mixed feelings about ripped in 30, although i did lose around 7lbs and a number of inches on it, i didn't think i got such great results. BUT my friend, also on MFP and a fellow BR-er (mariposa224) did it and got wonderful results. i was disappointed that didn't get the "ripped" result i was…

I did the workouts back-to-back and so have a couple of the other BR members!

Most definitely! alot of people (me included to begin with) think that you have to eat alot less and workout like a madwoman in order to lose weight, but that simply isn't true! of course, you do need to eat well, but i think that's where MFP macros play a big part - 1400 cals of junk food isn't the same as 1400 cals of…

Welcome Samantha, 89nunu, MegErin! I love hearing everyone's reasons behind wanting to get in shape! We can do ANYTHING, if we put our minds to it and work hard enough, and Jillian is THE woman to help you achieve your goals!

wow! That's brilliant progress! You are showing us how its done!! thanks for sharing and keep the great work!

Hi Staci, welcome to the group! have you done any JM before? I was just wondering if you were familiar will the intensity of her workouts? i don't see any reason why you couldn't continue doing additional cardio if you feel able to it, as long as you are fuelling your body enough! I think 1400 cals would be very low in…
