wow some of these ideas are great, thanks everyone for your input. Going to write these all down and have some fun cooking new dishes over the next few weeks :)

I'm 21. Joined MFP a while ago but only have really been keeping a track for the past few months and tracking everything. Have over 20lbs to lose so group motivation would be great :) Anyone feel free to add me!

I'd be happy to join you all! My goal loss is about 24 pounds, any loss by May would be a huge boost !

Sounds tasty, thanks for all the advice!

Sounds tasty and good on calories also. Do you just eat this on its own or with potatoes etc?
-
This sounds like a really tasty idea - will definately try this out!

Thanks, that looks yummy will try it out!

Would love to get involved in this. If I lose 20 pounds by summer id be thrilled - can wear those shorts without cringing when I walk haha! Add me please :)

I have been similar in means of cant exercise as much, hurt my ankle and have severe stomach pains. Going for a swim always helps though try that - and remember its 80% diet , 20% exercise so if you eat well you should still lose the weight!
-
I'm also 5 10" and completely agree - its not just you! Weight loss seems to take much longer to show on me than my friends who are smaller. Don't let it dishearten you though!! I find people have only commented if my face looks slimmer etc. Just part of being a tall girl im afraid - but we should be proud of our height!

After reading this I am considering gettting on the 30DS bandwagon. Will be buying this on payday and starting the week after I think!

I am also been looking / sending requests. It is so much better to have more people to share the ups and downs of weightloss with. Spurs on some extra motivation also!
-
Thanks for posting this! Actually felt like there was someone in front of me saying this and giving me the kick I may need while reading. Want to say my 'feel sorry for self' state is no more for now.....might need to re-read this in a week though!

Congrats on loss! Everyone is different and same diet/exercise plans don't nessesarily work across the board. I myself am really just starting to get into the weight loss and find my motivation and what works for me. Thank you for sharing this post.....definately a few points I have picked out that I will try and adopt for…

I'm the same - it will be water weight. If you are focusing on weight then maybe change your way in day? I was weighing myself on a monday but if i was drinking or out at the weekend on a splurge felt rubbish when saw no movement on scales. By changing to the end of the week when I have been good again and weight more…

My too! Add if you'd like. Also find that if I see others have had a good diet/exercise day I feel more motivated to continue with mine (partly because I'll end up too embarassed to post a bad day diary!!)

Thanks guys, both seems like really good advice. Suppose I just need to look more positively at the situation. Think I just feel awful after eating bad as always feel too full and slugish for days after eating unhealthy, and most of the time I probably am not even hungry when I eat the rubbish, seems to make me get stuck…

I have this almost every week on weight in. Remained the same weight one week I thought I had done amazingly well, but my measurements had gone down....good to keep a track of those alongside weighing. I'm always told "inches first, weight after". Just need to keep motivated :)
