  • Pittsburg What are your favourite animals?
  • I weigh myself every other morning, empty stomach. It has slowly gone up by around .5lbs from my starting weight. I know that it fluctuates, and I normally don't flip, some days I weigh normal and other days its skyrocketed up 5lbs... But this has been very steady and solid, which is why I worry.
  • About 3-4 months ago actually. Had a diabetic scare, my dad has type 2 diabetes and I wasn't feeling well and having a lot of the symptoms so I went to get it checked just incase. The idiot doctors got my tests mixed up and told me I was a type 1 diabetic. Sent me to an endocrinologist and they took blood tests TWICE that…
  • I'm not sure how I could be eating over, I'm pretty sure BCAAs and EAAs have a max of 6cal per gram, most around 4cal per gram. Even if it was the higher cal, me taking in around 22 would only be off by 132cal. Meaning I'd still be in a deficit of 368, the loss would be slower but it wouldn't be enough to gain... unless…
  • No. My husband weighs himself as much as I and he's steadily been the same weight, while I have gone up.
  • If you thought only "skinny people" had those, then why do you not think you are "skinny" because YOU have them?
  • RMR is around 1330 My weekly average of sodium is 1850mg and potassium is 2300mg.
  • I don't know. I do not drink a gallon a day as suggested. I feel bad about it but its just too much for my stomach to handle, lol. I drink about 2 liters a day, sometimes less if I have a lot of things to get done that day. I will try to drink more though.
  • No way, my husband gets annoyed at how much I weigh stuff. "Just get 5 almonds" "Just scoop a tbsp of hummus" No, I HAVE to weigh it by gram ahaha, very anal about that. The quick add calories was me trying to calculate the BCAAs and Amino Acids in my supplements because the label on the products does not give the true…
  • I eat so much soy just because its high complete protein, low(ish) calories, I love it and its easy to prep hahaha. I do switch back and forth between tofu and seitan a lot, I've never had any issues with soy before. :/ I don't feel icky or bloated... I don't think thats it. My body doesn't really enjoy too much seitan…
  • chairs aren't comfy anymore. my butt hurts because i lost a loooot of cushion!!!!
  • I do have a HRM. Polar FT60. I monitor my calories and heart rate while biking so I can hit the goal I'm aiming for. I am terrible at cardio so I always try to stay in the cardio zone HR so I can get better at it. I usually burn around 500 calories each bike ride.
  • Vegan. Breakfast is a protein shake with soy milk, a cup of coffee and sometimes a home made oatmeal peanutbutter bar. lunch is half a block of extra firm tofu with 150g of green beans, about 1/4 tsp of salt added for flavour. OR 2 slices of low sodium ezekiel bread with 1 cup soy yogurt and 2tbsp of peanutbutter. pre…
  • I counted those calories into the 1600cal I eat. I know that BCAAs and Amino 1 has more calories than listed on the nutrition label, but I'm not 100% sure how much. Since they are protein I just count them as 4cal per gram, however I do not count them into my protein macros... if that makes sense.
  • So I guess the verdict is water retention. I thought that could be it, I had gnarly DOMS for a while after my first few days. Practically almost couldn't walk this week after my first leg day.
  • Diary is open now, forgot to mention I eat a lot of ezekiel bread, too. Reason why carbs are so high is because my protein doesn't come from animal sources, my protein sources are usually quite high in carbs unfortunately.
  • Oh yea I know that flexed and depleted looks are a lot different than what a regular stance would be. But I do want to look lean, 18-20% body fat, not depleted though, obviously as that is not maintainable or safe. I'm not sure if I want to compete, I don't think that I could go through the competition prep.
  • I currently have my goal set to 1800 calories, meaning I burn 500 minimum at the gym, 1300 is my bmr, and then I add 200 calories to get a surplus... but this is not what I actually eat, its just so that I can plan ahead of time. I wear a heart rate monitor in the gym, and whatever calories it says I burn over 500, I add…
  • Could you link me to any programs you know that have had high success rate? I'm currently doing my own routine, and I'm getting good results, but I want the best. Thank you.
  • Thank you for reassuring me. I've read so many articles that made me feel like it would never happen. I'm ready to do the work.
  • I'm not sure that's true. I myself have struggled with my weight for quite a long time, I could never drop below 130lbs no matter how hard I tried, and the fat just stayed no matter how lean I ate, or how much exercise for 5ish years. Now I've been vegan for 6 months (not exactly RAW vegan, as my dinners usually tend to be…
  • I actually planned to cut for 6 months and lose as much fat as I could in that time and them bulk for a while to gain muscle, and cut again and back and forth until I was happy with my shape and then maintain it. I'm STILL aiming for 125-130lbs, I just want it to be lean, and I'm not lean at all and I've ruined my…
  • I eat vegan for personal reasons. I was shooting for 125-130lbs when I began. But when I got there, I was still very pudgy, thus I continued to drop to try to shed the fat around my waist. I get my body fat % from my BIA scale, which says 23%-24% right now, but I've been estimated at bodybuilding.com at around 26% from…
  • Yes, I am pudgy. Because I have a super high body fat (26%) from years of just sitting around on my pc all day gaming (so much regret). I was never really active, but I started working out and dieting about 5ish months ago and have lost 30lbs but still have all this pudge. Pudgy proof:…
  • Yes, I know this. I don't look underweight at all though, with the pudgy gut ahaha. Alright, so my maintenance is around 1500 I believe, if this seems wrong tell me. I got it from this site: http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/ So should I be adding 50-100 calories a week until I get to the maintenance level? I'm afraid of…
  • OH. I don't know why, but its hard for me to hit 1200, unless I'm splurging on a high calorie treat. Trust me, I'm not starving myself, or anything like that, I'm quite full each meal that I consume. Oh, and I get around 60g of protein daily, is that enough, because if not I do have a soy protein shake that I could add to…
