I am also not eating processed/refined/artificial sugar. Just and FYI...Watch out for the vanilla greek yogurt because most have sugar in them. Instead use plain greek yogurt and vanilla bean.

Here's a version of salsa I make at home: Roast the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and jalapeno all drizzled with olive oil in the oven first. Then remove the skins from the tomato and jalapeno. If you want it spicy leave the jalapeno seeds, otherwise remove them for mild. Put all of that with cilantro, salt, pepper and more…

I actually really love it. I must admit, the heat is a little hard to get use to at first. But I would keep doing it even if I didn't burn any calories because I feel so good. I just want to make sure I don't negate all of the hard work though by eating too many calories everyday.

I've seen a couple of people say not to weigh yourself after a workout. Just curious, why is it bad to weigh yourself after a workout?

It should stop as your body adjusts to the new diet. I would suggest adding a cup or two of hot mint tea to your diet. That will help your digestion.

Walking briskly with an incline is better for you than running with no incline.

I think you should ditch the bagel all together. I think you would be much better off having a whole grain english muffin with cheese or low fat peanut butter and the half an orange or grapefruit for breakfast. English muffins have a lot less calories and fat than bagels. I know it sounds like less than what you are eating…

I love Thai Chicken Wraps. I don't ever measure anything, but I can tell you how to make them. Best of all, you can make the wrap the night before and just warm it in the microwave the next day at work. Heat a small sauce pan on med/med high heat. Add a little sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Then add cubed,…

Look on the positive side. The important thing is that you made the best possible choice in your situation. You could have eaten junk food (chips, cookies, etc.), but instead you ate something that is low cal and low fat.:flowerforyou:

I too think that you are not eating enough calories and as a result your metabolism is slowing down. But it should not to the point that you have only lost 7 lbs in 3 months. I lost 65 lbs before I joined MFP, and the most important thing other than portion control is to watch what you are eating. Are you eating a lot of…

OMG...I didn't even think of V8. That's a great idea because I'm tired of things that are sweet and milky. Plus it will give me a serving of veggies. Thanks for the tip.

So far I've been able to have Ensure, Slimfast, and smoothies. I can't have anything yet that requires utensils.

Hi, I just joined myfitnesspal today, and I have to say that the tools seem very helpful. I need to lose about 20 pounds, but I had gum surgery last week. As a result I have been on a liquid diet, and starting tomorrow I can add soft food to my diet. However, it will be a month before I can actually eat solid food again. I…

Hello, I had a gum graft done last week and as a result have been on a liquid diet ever since. My current diet consists of Ensure and smoothies. I get the stitches out tomorrow and can start introducing soft food into my diet, but it will be a month before I can really eat solid food again. Does anyone have any recipies…
