I love it! I am carrying about 50 extra pounds. It is very tough, but only do what you can to start out with. I am seeing results already-3 weeks in. I am feeling so much better and the better in shape I get, the more of the workout I can do so it really grows with my progress. Hope this helps!

Love my FT4! Comfortable, durable, and so helpful in a work out

I lost 1 pound!

410+9= 419

Chest strap will give you the most accurate read and I think that almost all of them come with the chest strap. Suprisingly comfortable too. I have a Polar and I love it. There are so many models to choose from, depending on what you want it to do. I got a very simple model (FT4) because I just want to know my HR and…

I love my Polar FT7...LOVE IT!!

I tried them and had back problem as well. I think it was all the swinging. I also got really bored, but you do get a good workout, just be careful of your form as other posters said.

This is so funny! I have found that I sweat a lot easier and more since I have been working out more. I have never sweat this much in my life, although I am not sure i have ever worked this hard. Thanks for posting!

I am actually sticking with it! I am so happy and am noticing some changes in the way I look. I did a lot better on my fit test too, i need to post that. I love Insanity!

It is a slow and steady process for sure. I have had plenty of bad weekends/days/months/years! One thing that really stuck out with your post was the thought of already having the ice cream, so let's just keep on eating! Don't punish yourself for a mistake. You will make many more mistakes and somehow, you need to learn it…

I think as long as you are doing something, you will be fine. Start in week 3. keep in mind that you won't have your fitness test for week 2 to refer to unless you do that before you begin week 3. Good luck and welcome back!

Bump- I would be intersted to see/hear as well!

I stole this from a MFP blog or something. I apologize that I can't remember who it is! "That's not sweat, that's liquid awesome!"
-
Lobster, I checked that out and it would cause me to pee my pants as I run. Bad idea. I am too freaked out!
-
Yes, I got a copy and I think it was pirated-I was so mad. I will buy from Beachbody when I do p90x again! Insanity rocks! I have done it for about 3 weeks and LOVE it. I have noticed changes already. if you are not commited, wait until you are. It is hard, but so fun!

I have a Ploar FT4 and I love it. I only need one to calculate the calorie burn and monitor my heart rate and this does it. As far as how many calories you burned, always go by what the HRM says!! It is hooked right to you, so it is the most accurate.
-
Always go by your HRM, it is way more accurate! Feels good, doesn't it?
-
I don't see how you can do it WITHOUT losing weight if you are eating right, even if it is for 3 days!
-
Also, if you are just starting out, you may want to consider being less aggressive. If you start out with a goal of 6 workouts a week and you are coming from nothing, you will burn out and become overwhelmed with keeping up. Why don't you try 2 days of lifting and 2 of cardio to start with? Or 3 days of combined?

Have you thought about a black bean enchilada? There are a lot of good tortillas out there, or you can make your own. Making your own saucy is easy too with tomoatoes and spices.

I am 5'9 and I was about 210 when I started. I have only been doing it for a couple of weeks, but I really do notice differences. I love it because it is so high energy and I am sweating when I am done!

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Oh the deliciousness of that hot man sandwich!

I had a similar surgery this past November where the facia was cut along my muscle, lengthening my tendon so I wasn't so tight. Even with all the stretches, I still have pain in my heel area as I did before. For me, it seems that no matter the shoe, I have pain and I just work through it. Some days are good and others are…

Ugh! I would do Plyo 2 times before pure cardio!

Bump

I am always hesitant about man made sweeteners. Even though some are plant/nature derived, I wonder about the process that is used to get there. If it is a health concern, maybe stay with sugar and try to ween yourself off. If it is just calories, then Stevia is pretty good tasting.

I will take mine on Monday. I already feel better, so I hope my results are as good as yours!
-
I would think that if you did it while you were pregnant and it was doctor approved, then it would be fine now as well! I used to get sick from mine as well, so I would take it with milk and that helped.

My knees have been a little sore too, and today they are worse after cardio plyo circuit! I am just taking it easy on the squats and hoping that my muscles strengthen up a bit. Maybe we should work in leg presses?
