ha, your username checks out then!

I agree, I would consider a smoothie instead, that way you can add other things to balance out the macros such as yogurt, greens, etc. I personally have a Vitamix and it is used every single day for more than just smoothies.

I have found that the best thing that works for me is group training classes. It can be a bit more expensive that a traditional gym experience but it has been the only thing to keep me motivated and feel a bit accountable as well. When it was up to just me to go lift weights I wouldn't go and I would feel like I was just…

What do you need out of your scale? What was the one that died? I have a Renpho that I got on Amazon, it does track all the body fat, bone mass, etc but I don't believe any of that is accurate. I got it because it is bluetooth and records my weight and also connects with MFP.

This made me think of an early Longmire episode, except it was Elk velvet, and entire episode revolved around it.

I'm with you as a fellow Georgian. I can feel my blood pressure go up with every text message, Political Call that shows up on my caller Id, commercials, and mailers. I started counting the mailers, one day we got 15 mailers, that is usually all that is in the mail box. I took the emotions out on them at the mail box one…

I don't quite fit the parameters to comment (I am 38 BUT I got some lab results back yesterday and the doctor made a note "Female hormones indicate perimenopause. I have my follow-up tomorrow morning, so we will see what he says. It would explain some things though...). Anyway, your comment made me think of something my…

Try doing a force stop or whatever it is called of the MFP app and reopen it. I just had the same issue and it synced when I reopened it.

Nope, I'm in US. Maybe a premium feature?

Sorry to be the weirdo that brings a slightly older (is a week old?) thread back to life. I just saw this link at the bottom of my MFP main page. There is talk about the advertising. Also, after posting the picture I see another link above the highlighted one that says AdChoices, will investigate that one now.

I agree about Tjmaxx. If you haven't already, check out their website. You can shop Tjmaxx online and there is a good selection (of course there is shipping but they do run shipping specials sometimes). Also, all of their sister stores like Marshalls and Sierra Trading have good deals too.

I have the vivoactive 3 music. I have small wrists, so small it is hard to find replacement bands (see image of band, it has one hole left and wraps almost all the way around). I have had bigger watches, and this one doesn't seem big to me maybe because it is light weight.
-
I am also a vivoactive 3 user and love it. I had the vivoactive HR and then changed to the Galaxy Gear S3 (I think that is what its called) before they came out with the smaller version of it. I loved the Galaxy for phone related things but not so much for fitness, it was also way too big for my small wrist and actually…

Lunges for sure are my least favorite, I feel like my balance is off and have fallen on my knee many times. They say though, your least favorite is probably the one you need the most, but whatever, I still hate them! I love exercises that use TRX, but not ones where your feet go in the straps I feel ridiculous doing those!

Smaller local gym - heavy(ier) lifting and treadmill OTF studio - lighter lifting, rowing, and HIIT Lake in backyard - kayaking, and pedal boating when the weather is nice Neighborhood and park across the street - fast paced walking with hill climbs.

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast. As a base I always have a cup of unsweetened almond milk, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a scoop of unflavored collagen peptide powder, and a couple handfuls of greens. Some days I add in some mixed frozen berries. I also like to make an apple pie smoothie where I add all…

I make a quesadilla omelette, just use one or two eggs to just coat the pan and cook it to resemble a tortilla, then right before it is done add in your fillings and fold over like you would a quesadilla. Today at lunch I did this with some pre-cooked chicken breast shredded up and seasoned with chipotle sauce, and a…

I set up the group and then vanished. I work as a contractor for the EPA and we have been in the operations center for the past couple days monitoring Gordon. Which also means I had to cancel two OTF classes this week and ate a lot of convenience foods, blah.

I agree, I don't think the calories I burn during the actual workout to be way off base. I am normally between 500-600. One day when their system was down I just tracked with my watch and it was around the same amount. I don't put too much into the "after burn", but people do use the amount of time spent in certain zones…

Honestly, it is more boredom than hunger. I only bring my planned snack to work with me, say in the morning I only bring my breakfast and morning snack, after lunch I then decide what to bring for afternoon snack. Most of the time it is some nuts, or a cheese stick. Sometimes if I am feeling crazy I will bring a yogurt,…

I agree, we are all different. I work a desk job where I constantly can't wait till my next meal or snack (I eat breakfast at my desk, morning snack, lunch at home, afternoon snack at my desk) and then a normal dinner at home. My boyfriend on the other hand works a very active construction job and has a protein shake…

Orangetheory Fitness, has kept me motivated and excited longer than anything else has.

I had my free trial class on May 1st, and started my membership on May 1st. I started with an 8 classes/mo membership but for June I upgraded to the unlimited. I am trying to go 4x/week but average 3x right now. I LOVE IT! I truly is for everyone.
-
Yeah, I saw that the crust on the pizzas and the "tortilla" on the enchiladas was made from chicken and that really boosted the protein, which is one reason I was interested in giving them a try.
-
I know this is kinda an old post, but where in the grocery store (and what grocery store for that matter) did you find the realgood pizza? I look in the "healthy" frozen section and the regular frozen section every single time I go. I go to Kroger and they have ClickList and it shows up on that so I know they carry it, I…

I am an OTF newbie, started on May 1st. My first month I got the 8x a month membership but have upgraded to the unlimited now because I crave more! If you aren't familiar (and I wasn't until someone here told me about it) there is a subreddit for OTF that is very, very active. And yes, for the most part each studio has the…

the shorts that I wear are about mid thigh, maybe a hair longer. They are tight like the leggings/capris but shorts (not like bike shorts) if that makes sense. Those are about the only shorts I can wear to workout in and even then I don't like to wear those to the gym because I don't like to have that much exposed skin to…

I average 585 in the 60 minute session with an average HR of 155 (measured using a chest strap HRM).
-
Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is a subreddit?
-
I know! I read through some older posts, which is why I started a new one. Almost all the sessions at my location have a waitlist so I know it is still popular, at least around here.
