The only bread I buy on a regular basis is Healthy Life Whole Wheat, it is 70 cals for two slices. Sometimes I splurge and buy some english muffins or cinnamon raisin bread, but that is rare.

It is more specifically Hashimoto's thyroiditis being linked with gluten intolerance, not necessarily general hypothyroidism. That being said, I having a lot of issues and my endo tested me for Celiac using the blood test only method and it was negative but she told me to try to do an elimination diet anyway to see if my…

For the ones that have exercise-induced asthma, who diagnosed you? Was it your GP or a specialist? I get extremely out of breath while exercising and for the first 10-15 minutes my throat hurts and feels constricted. I have talked to a doc about it and always get blown off. I have even been on a beta blocker for 3 years to…

I live in the Northeast burbs of Atlanta. I am a member of a couple women's only hiking groups in the area if you are interested let me know, send me a friend request, etc.

Ann-The candle salad rings a bell, maybe something I saw on tv once. Without the mayo it would be good. My boyfriends family loves aspic and his mom makes if for all holidays, the first time I attended an event I tried it to be nice. That is the most foul thing I have eaten, I think hers is a ground beef, celery, and…

Pear Salad: canned pear halves, a dollop of mayonnaise or cottage cheese, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar on top of each half. I remember eating this a lot and I guess it isn't necessarily "unhealthy", the idea of it now is disgusting.

The OP says that as a set they are 200lbs. So I am sure that it isn't just a 200lb DB or probably not even two 100lb DBs.

I personally can't eat anything before early morning workouts. It would make me feel sick. I get up at 4:45 and leave home around 5:00am after letting the pups out and letting them eat so I don't really give myself any time to eat or drink anything. While the dogs are eating I fix my water bottle and just go before I can…

Me too! I am happy I am not the only one. I don't notice the ammonia aroma while working out but do once I get in my car to leave or get in the shower, and it doesn't always happen.

I know that all the Anytime Fitness gyms that I have been in they don't have locker rooms but 2-4 individual unisex bathrooms with a bench, toilet, sink/vanity, and shower in each.

I do this if I am at a restaurant but at home (I rarely have salads at home) I use lower cal dressing and weigh it.

I do get chills with really good instrumental songs more than lyrics in songs. And is also the music that I like to listen to at the gym, or with other exercise. It is probably music that most people would be put to sleep by such as classical, classical crossover, orchestral pop, etc. Not to say that I don't listen to…

For me, if I am going first thing in the morning (which is typical) I always go fasted but because I have to take my thyroid meds fasted and not eat for 30-60 mins after taking said meds.

This sounds like fun, but probably stupid question. How are you playing these? Like what equipment do you need/have etc?

I am not sure if all ellipticals have this read out. But I go by strides/min and total strides. For warm-up I go 100-120 s/m and then as fast as I can, usually 155-165 for a couple mins, and then back down to 130-140 for a minute and repeat minus the warm-up for the duration of my time on it. I then use the total strides…

I burn (based on a chest strap HR monitor) consistently about 100 cals per mile while walking. I don't understand why sometimes people think that walking isn't really enough to be considered exercise, it is my main source of cardio and I work up a good sweat doing it even when it is cold outside.

I have two Ozeri ones from Amazon. One on my desk at work and one in my kitchen at home. I saw one on Amazon the other day that has a built in database and codes for different foods. Say, you put an apple on it, you give it the code for the apple and it will give you the nutritional values per the weight. Thought that was…

When I first started exercising "for real" a few years ago I was surprised at how high my heart rate went. I mentioned it to my doc casually and they decided to do a stress test. Everything was fine with my ticker but I was diagnosed with thyroid disease. Now I see a cardiologist because my thyroid meds makes my heart…

Marika (I think that is how it is spelled). I usually can find them at Tjmaxx and zulily has them quite often for pretty cheap. I like the high waist ones because they stay put

1. To make the top 20 list at the gym (big chalk board in the lobby with the top 20 members for the month based on # of gym visits). 2. To reach my goals for the month on my two dietbets. Money is a big motivator for me apparently.

When I initially set mine up to sync it seems like it took it a little while (maybe even a day or so) to fully do its thing. Edit to add: if you use MFP mostly on the computer you need to open the app on your phone, SHealth talks to the app so if the app hasn't synced with what you have entered on the website it won't show…

These are probably better cold but maybe not necessary. Sargento Balanced Breaks, each container has some cheese bits, some nuts, and dried cranberries. There are different "flavored" ones, different cheese, nuts, etc.

This is the second post I have read this morning about problems occurring while on this "diet". What are the benefits of doing it (vs regular ol' CICO) if there are such bad reactions? I am asking out of curiosity.

I disconnected a couple weeks ago because I ONLY wanted the dedicated exercise adjustment and not the step adjustment because it was giving me too many calories each day. Does anyone know how to turn off step adjustment and only sync activities?

I am with Toad on questioning the twice a month? Is that a typo. I am going to assume maybe it is, and ask if you could suffer from exercise induced asthma? Depending on environmental conditions my throat restricts to the point of hurting and I can't seem to get good breath but usually rights itself after a 5 minute…

Here is my food scale PSA: make sure when you buy one to get one that auto shuts off, and one that takes AAA or AA batteries. I bought one on Amazon a year ago and it takes stupid hard to find coin batteries that cost almost as much as a new scale (have already replaced them twice). It also had a very sensitive on button…

ahh ok, that is what I was wondering when I asked what device. I, like Tackle, have the vivoactive HR. I thought I remember seeing somewhere about the VOmax but that may have been my old Polar device.

What Garmin device do you use? I have never seen this feature on mine. Is on the actual device or once you view it in the connect app?

If it persists especially, see a doc. I was having strange spells of dizziness and almost vertigo. It had absolutely nothing to do with my diet/sugar levels, like I initially thought. It was sinus pressure with fluid in my ears, after a round of antibiotics and steroids I was all better.
