I eat 1600-1700/day and consume between 90-120g (i aim for over 100) of protein. It's pretty easy really! I eat a lot of chicken, fish, Greek yogurt, almonds, cheese, eggs, protein shakes (after weight lifting usually), cook with olive oil...it's not hard, you just have to figure out which foods are protein packed and eat…

You look fantastic, congrats! I hear you about the excess skin. I have it too and I'm hoping that over time it will shrink back to semi normal...if that's possible. You tummy looks a lot like mine does now and it's horrifying that I can grab that excess skin and pull it out, lol. Keep up the good work!

So apparently the bar extends to 6feet and the safety bar is over 1.5 feet wide. It is a York brand.
-
Safety definately comes before tattoos ;) I can email him and ask him the height when extended. He did send me a picture of it extended but it's hard to tell how tall it is. I am pretty short (5'3). I can also ask him what the measurement of the safety rack is.

Ok...I found this one that someone is selling for a pretty decent price...bench is not attached...opinions please  They are texting me back tonight with the make of the rack. I really can't afford a larger rack...funds are a little tight at the moment...trying to save for me new tattoo this coming month and a…

<<<<<picture is here I'm turning 41 in a couple weeks...5'3 (just under really) and currently weigh 140lbs. I wear a size 6 - 8 in pants depending on the make and a size S or M (again depending on the make but usually a small) in tops/coats.

Bumping to follow... Although I'm not working towards a huge muscle gain, I am working towards a tight athletic looking body and still working towards my weight loss goal and bf% so I'm hoping that eating at a deficit while weight training will help me achieve both goals at the same time. When I've reached my weight goal,…

I log in daily...unless I can't because we are off camping where there isn't internet access. I read every-one's status/achievements every day and although I don't always comment on every single 1 of them every day, I love being inspired by every-one's activity and it keeps me motivated to keep at it. Anyone can feel free…

Lol, love this! Get 'em young and train them right  My husband is younger than me...granted only by a few years but still younger
-
Oh yes...bumping this!

Nope, not in an apartment but our basement space is small and I don't really want to bolt anything to the ground. I'm going to look into a full rack as well. I really appreciate everyone's opinions on this...definatly don't want to get a super sh!tty one...but I can't afford a really expensive one either. Amazon doesn't…

It'll cost me just over $100 to ship it to me :( I love that it has multi-purposes and since I love doing bench presses and overhead presses, this will work awesome I thought. I don't have the room for a full rack/cage type thing...this allows my bench to be moved away from it easier I think. I have a small space set up as…
-
Thanks for every one's advice and input! Since I can only overhead press successfully without fail 50lbs and bench press only 60 (but failed on 1 rep today) I really don't think pressing 75lbs up and over my head to my back is a very good idea. I will be looking into getting a squat rack of some kind because the way I'm…
-
I'm not 100% sure exactly what that is. I think I know but I'm going to look it up. I just did 75lb on Monday and I'm suppose to move up to 80 for today. I know that's not a lot of weight yet but it is for me as a beginner.
-
That's good to know. The one I was looking at was an angled one.
-
I just looked up the goblet squats and may try those...if anything for a good warm up. I think I'm just going to invest in a squat rack of some sort. They would also help with the start off position for the overhead press when I start to get up there in weight. Dandur, I actually just emailed that company this morning to…

I don't count house cleaning or shopping but I count yard work like raking and mowing the lawn.
-
Bumping this.
-
Ya, squat racks aren't 1 of them.
-
I'm in Canada so amazon.ca doesn't have things like that and the U.S. site does't ship here...not to mention it would cost a fortune. Kijiji is more popular than Craigslist where I am and I've been looking but haven't had much luck yet :(
-
Ya, I don't really have anywhere to mount a rack unfortunately. I've been looking for a used 1 but haven't Lund one yet :( What about something like this...

I have days like that once in awhile and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. It's when it is more often than not that it becomes a problem. Sometimes social life gets in the way and you just have to go with it for social dinners, camping, birthdays, etc. You just pick up where you left off and continue on your…

Oh, and she is giving it to her 10 year old son as a suppliment because he is a "picky easter". I'm very worried about her and what this id doing to her body...especially since she isn't even following the program properly...she has no food all day...just the 2 shakes...and then supper and an evening snack.
-
OMG, I can't even stand to read her posts about it on Facebook. Her momand a few others have now said they are good for you and have real food in them and are healthy. You only need to eat once a day, food diets don't work, we just gain weight on food etc. etc. Stupid stupid people! They will gain every pound back when…
-
Oh, missed the "healthy" part of that question. Doh! Dark chocolate in small amounts isn't bad for you.

Question about squat stands...is a stand that is 1 piece better that the 2 piece stand system? I saw 2 piece stands but I don't know anything about squat stands so I have no idea if they would be any good.
-
Ya, I don't want to give up lifting, I like it and I like lifting/exercising in private as well but might not have any other choice other than get a rack of some kind or join a gym. It sucks...I've gone a year without joining a gym and doing everything on my own :(
-
Not really no (and I don't really care for gyms). I would have to go in the evenings if I did and that is the who;e point of my rack dilemma...I want to do my lifting in the afternoon so I can do other things in the evenings. I might have to just suck it up and buy 1 like the first reply showed if I can find 1 for a cheap…

Ya, That's what I've been doing. I sit on the bench though and then get my shoulders under the bar and then stand up and walk out do do the squats. I won't be able to do this for long though because as it get's heavier it's harder to lift at a good angle without hurting my back. I was afraid this was going to be the…
