Nuts, especially cashews. Also sweets in general. I am better off if I have none instead of trying for 'just one'.

I ate too much and moved too little. It didn't help that I moved from an active job to a desk job, but that's my own fault. I could have compensated with more activity outside of work and I didn't.

Whole milk, almond milk, applesauce pouches, chai tea mix, sparkling water, tiny bottles of white wine for cooking, a can of sophia coppola sparkling wine, water, diet citrus iced tea, many condiments, leftover sweet potato hash, pasta salad, shredded cheese, half an onion, leftover pizza, eggs, sticks of butter, spray…

I can't think of one for me, but my mom has one. She was hikinh with my little sister and they were kicking over dead trees in the woods in our backyard... One of the dead trees wasn't dead. I ended up having to take her to the emergency room the next morning because she was certain it was broken. Turned out it was just…

Ewan MacGregor, Zachary Levi, Mos Def (I watch his episode of Yo Gabba Gabba with my son WAY too much )

Sounds delicious.

Very interesting. :)

I weigh everything when I'm at home. If I've eaten out at a place that doesn't post nutritional information then I estimate high.

I've got 122 more to lose. Feel free to add me. :)

I added you - our stories are very similar. :) B

My toddler - if I'm doing cardio he thinks I'm dancing and he wants to dance too which is fine - except he is totally underfoot. If I'm doing anything on the floor that is an invitation for him to climb on me and give me lots of hugs. He's adorable.

Added you. :) I'm a working mom with a 19-month-old.

From Michigan, but I've lived in Montana for almost 10 years now.

I have the same problem with cashews. They're so delicious and buttery... so I don't buy them or a buy a small package... that way I can't binge on them.

I'd like to bring back my metabolism. lol.

Twice - Canada only.

This is something to be careful of (at least in my experience). Several years ago I lost 70 lbs, but I obsessed about 'dieting' always researched new things. That was my downfall. Instead of sticking with what worked as a lifestyle change I kept moving from one thing to the next and gained all of it back and more. I'm 30…

Any sweets - especially cookies. I can't have them around because I don't have the self control to have just one. One leads to two , two leads to four and four leads to an empty package.

I started swimming lessons with my toddler on Monday and realized that I love being in the water & I've really missed it... so I'm starting a swim cardio class tomorrow. Try lots of different things - you'll find something that is fun for you. :)

This thread is amazing and that video is also amazing. What an inspiration. I had to watch with no sound (everyone's sleeping right now), but my goodness. Just wow.

My reward will be one of necessity. At goal I will be half the size I am so I'm going to need a new wardrobe. The real reward will be looking and feeling better and living longer.

^^Same here. I find it keeps me honest, you can heap a cup full and still call it a 'cup' but you can't stretch servings on a scale - 28 grams is 28 grams...
-
Me too. :) I've got a 19-month-old son.

Veggie here since October. I had a very hard time coming up with ideas so i purchased a year-long subscription to thefresh20.com. It's good stuff and has really taught me a lot. I know now that I can cook which is a total bonus. haha.

So many things: Be able to sit in a variety of places without worrying about taking up too much space or breaking something (planes, restaurant booths, in the middle of an aisle at the movie theater, bathroom stalls) Shop in the 'normal' sized sections of the store. Be around others and not feel like the biggest one. See…

I used to walk like this when I was younger... not sure why I didn't want to let that arm go lol, but I definitely got made fun of for it.

I started 12/30 and have lost 12.2 lbs. Yes - I would love for it to have been more, but 1.5 lbs a week is pretty amazing so I'll deal with the slowness. Like others have said - definitely take measurements. I lost 9 lb in the first month, but I also lost 9.5 inches - that's pretty awesome. Don't focus too much on the…

I've got 137-ish pounds to lose. Down 12.2 already and hoping to keep up the trend. :)

I weight almost everything I put in my mouth because it's too easy for me to lie to myself with measuring cups.... (a heaping cup vs a level cup of cheese can be quite drastically different). I just use a cheap, no frills scale that I got at walmart years ago. It does grams and ounces and can be zeroed out after each item…
