I was told by my doctor that it would never "go away". They cut the muscles during the c-section and he said no matter how hard you try there will always be a little pooch. It will get smaller over time though.

OK, maybe I should re-phrase about fats....fats that are healthy (i.e. nuts, avacado, etc.)

I have been cooking so hubby and I would have leftovers for lunch, but this week has been way off. Yesterday? went to the cafeteria here a work and got a baked potato and salad. Only ate 1/2 the baked potato (no skin). Today? Went to Braums.....got a grilled chicken salad!!! I only used 1/2 the dressing and 1/2 the…

Added. I do have an open diary, but am not always the best at logging. I have gotten much better lately and have added the app to my phone so I can log on the weekends too. You shouldn't feel guilty as long as you are staying under your calorie goal. I'm not saying you should it all junk and it's fine, but you can manage…

Thanks for the support! I do not have any more of an appetite so the food hasn't been a factor. Instead of sitting around being bored and smoking, I have kept myself busy whether it be doing things around the house, crocheting or, now, working out. I haven't missed it at all. But, I never thought about how it would effect…

Wow! So instead of measuring a 1/4 cup you measure by ounces?
-
I meant to say weighed (on a scale - meats) or measured using a measuring cup. What other methods are there to measure foods? Thanks.
-
I keep a manual tracking of everything and usually use it to input into MFP since I'm not always near a computer. About 90% of everything I eat is weighted or measured with a measuring cup. Everything else is eyeballed (if I'm not at home or work to measure it). I very rarely ever go over 1200 calories and if I do, I'm…

Apple slices or celery with a 1/2 of a Jiff to go cup or carrots and ranch. These can be purchased pre-packaged or you can package them yourself ahead of time. Also, mini rice cake poppers by Quaker, fruit, yogurt, mini bags of popcorn and granola bars. We are on a low carb, high protein and none of these are too bad.

Thanks for the advice. I normally wouldn't mind a "splurge" here and there. After all, that's what keeps you going. My problem is I just started back to MFP this week and I don't want to start "splurging" right now. In a couple of weeks it will be OK. I just want to stay on track. You guys ROCK!!!

I finally got my husband to start eating breakfast a couple of months ago and he has never eaten breakfast. I was making these one day and he asked if I could start making them for him too. Absolutely! Whole grain sandwich thin Egg (whole egg for him egg beaters for me) - I use an egg pan (T-fal at Walmart for about $5)…

I'm definitely in! I had surgery in December and was pretty much stationary (minor walking) for a month and a half. I am trying to get back on track eating and exercising. I work much better when I have to be accountable for something. This is perfect!!! Put me down for 20 pounds. Please feel free to add me and access my…

Homemade chef salad for us....

Thanks! Your comments make me feel much better. I guess I didn't realize how much natural sugar has, but it's good to know that they are OK.

I guess it's probably easier just to go to the recipe forum.

OK. So, you have to have the actual name of the recipe to search it in the database?

I made this on the stove last night. I intended to make taco stuffing, but it came out like a stew (I forgot to drain the tomatoes...oops). But, I'm sure it can be done in the crockpot too. 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can of whole kernel corn 2 medium white potatoes (russett would work too) 1/2 yellow onion 1 green bell pepper…
