Swimming, running in the sand, climbing the cliffs all come to my mind when I look at the picture. Good luck!

As a former minister, I could turn that one into a decent sermon title. Great stuff!

My own philosophy, even though it may not fit on a t-shirt: People don't quit running because they get old, they get old because they quit running. Best shirt I've seen: My sport is your sport's punishment

Welcome back! It's always good to see a fellow runner recover from injury. I'm fighting my way through some lingering hip pain. I've got a race on Thanksgiving or else I'd be taking some time off. Once I finish my 5 mile Turkey Trot I'll be taking at least a week off from running.

My first race is a 5 miler on Thanksgiving then I have a 5K on New Year's Day. My big target is next May and the Dam to Dam 20K. It is the biggest and best road race in Iowa. If all goes well in that I'll be looking at a marathon next fall.

You could get arrested for running your first at that speed. Absolutely awesome result!

Ditch the iPhone. I have a Droid Bionic which I bought an extended battery for. This morning I went out for more than an hour with music cranking and endomondo app tracking everything. When I finished my battery was still at 80%.

I have not joined the tattoo brigade as of yet. My wife, my daughters, and my two son-in-laws all have them. My grandson will likely have one before I get around to it. I guess I'm just stubborn enough to focus on redesigning my body and physique from the inside out.

This may be the only contribution the state of Minnesota has ever made to civilized society.

I do most of my running in a city park on a lighted path so the darkness is not an issue. I do choose to add layers as needed and hat and gloves are essential to avoid losing too much body heat. If it is slick on your running path, be sure to shorten your stride to improve stability. Winter running is more about…

Going out with a bang on Halloween. October 31 - 10.08 miles Total for month 58.34 I didn't get anywhere near my goal, but what I lacked in quantity was more than made up for in quality. I cut 1:28 from my 5K time, and 4:01 from my 10K time. My fastest mile prior to October was 8:49 and this past weekend I ran five miles…

My motivation is my continual pursuit of personal bests. I still haven't ran a race for more than 30 years but I track every run with endomondo. I love looking at my time and distance afterwards and finding that I've set a new personal best.

October was lousy for running quantity, but I had some decent quality. My November goal is 75, down from my previous goals but an increase from my October results. I am entered in my first official race since HS cross country. I will be running the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot which is a five miler.

I love it! Any race you finish is a good race, and maintaining a consistent pace throughout is awesome. Congratulations! Keep on running.

Target has everything you might need to wear for running except decent shoes. They carry Champion's C9 line of athletic clothing. I have purchased quite a few items from there and haven't had any complaints yet.
