Four years ago I bought my "gateway" bike, a Jamis comfort hybrid to kick start my exercise. I would ride it 10-15 miles 4x weekly. I loved riding so much, but began to get frustrated that I really couldn't ride faster than 14 mph as I became more fit. Two years ago I purchased a Fuji hybrid fitness bike, flat bar, road…

I tend to not go to the chain restaurants (not many in my area), avoid all fast food when possible, but when I do eat out I try to find the healthier choices. Mexican, I have two chicken tacos no cheese on soft corn shells, I love the chips and salsa but try not to overdo it. Italian, I tend to share an antipasto with my…

I use TRX with my trainer twice a week. I absolutely love it and am thinking of purchasing my own straps for home.

You look like a different person! Congratulations!

Wow! Such a big difference! Great job!

Avocado is awesome, excellent source of fiber and healthy fats. Not sure about Acai berries but blueberries are a powerhouse too, full of antioxidants. These aren't "health food trends" - these are whole foods that people have forgotten about in the processed-pre-packaged-food-revolution which are now being rediscovered.…

I love it! I make a kale salad with a little olive oil and lemon juice. You have to "massage" the kale to soften it a bit, then I add red onion, almonds and whatever else I feel like adding. I also love Kale "chips". take the leaves place on a cookie sheet spray lightly with olive oil and bake til crispy. Another use, in…

I love my protein shakes and feel like I see a big difference when I drink them consistently. I make them after heavy exercise in the morning. I mix my protein powder with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, a half banana and either peaches, pineapple, or berries. I also make one with 1 cup of Kale, 1/2 green apple, 1/2 large…

I try to eat fresh fruit, lots of fresh veggies and lean proteins for the majority of my meals. I make lots of salads, veggie based dishes like curry or veggie (pasta free) lasagna. I try to be wheat free thought it is hard at times, luckily it just doesn't agree with me which makes it easier. . I also try (don't always…

I try to log in daily and I do exercise. I didn't log in consistently last week due to having family from oversees here and being crazy busy. My diary is also open and I prefer friends that open their diaries so that I get food ideas. Add me if you'd like.

You look amazing, such an inspiration!

Go to settings and you can then go to Diary settings and open it up for everyone to see or just friends to see. It really helps me stay accountable if I know someone may be looking at what I am eating.

I try to stay around 1200-1300 a day. I love to cook and have done pretty good by cutting wheat out of my diet. I do have an occasional "splurge" day which isn't so much unhealthy foods, just more calories. Anyone feel free to add me! I could always use more motivational friends!

Wow! Great job, you look amazing! I live in Key Largo, who did you go to for the surgery? Were you happy with his/her care? This is definitely a long term goal of mine.

Hello everyone! I am Dawn, 38, mother of a 15 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. I gained 40 pounds within the last 2.5 years due to stress of a new job and lack of exercise. I currently bike 10-15 miles 4 days weekly and work out with a trainer 2 days a week. I am looking forward to this challenge! Bring it!

I have always had big calves and never minded them until I became older and realized I felt awkward in shorts and skirts. I think I started disliking them when I read a few years ago that your calves and neck should be around the same size...My calves are 16.5 inches and my neck is 11.5. I started fixating that either I…

I just went from a 16 to a 14 after losing 20 lbs. It is always different for me. A few years ago I lost 40 lbs and went from a 16 to a 10 and maintained, but I kept up the exercise for many years.

Well... I say suck it up. When the urge to binge kicks in go put your shoes on and get outside and walk. Walk until you are tired and know you have tried your best. It is hard...we all struggle, but when you defeat that voice in your head that tries to sabotage your goals it is a powerful thing, and when you start seeing…

Congratulations! You look great, a little like Anthony Bourdain!

Just attended a picnic with lovely rich chocolate cupcakes topped with a beautiful mound of light fluffy teal blue frosting. My daughter finished hers and had frosting and chocolate crumbs all over her face....it was tempting.

Take one Flat Out flatbread spread one laughing cow cheese on it, bake it at 350 until cheese is melting, cut it into strips, and then hit it with hot sauce or sriracha. YUM! 120 calories.

I just started also and looking for friends for encouragement and motivation. Feel free to add me!

Totally agree. Have 1 or 2 great beers (personally I like a nice dark stout) and ditch the crappy water downed imposter beer.

I am looking for friends to help motivate me also. I have gained 40 pounds in 2 years and have decided today is the day to make a much needed change. I am tired of feeling tired, slow, out of shape and none of my clothes fit! The time is now!
