Anyone have any suggestions about a spicy hot snack that is not so high in calories. Those Flamin' HOT Cheetos and all the hot chips are so yummy to me and I always want to eat more than one serving. I know.. I'm weak. What could be a healthier alternative?

Franks Hot Sauce with cottage cheese.
Sriracha sauce with cottage cheese1 -
Flamin' Hot anything is my weakness. Stacks are my fave but fries, cheetos, popcorn, whatever and I'd eat it. I cut it all out completely. I love spicy so I do a lot of supremely spicy hummus with vegetables, and I put jalapenos and hot sauce on everything. Also, if it's chips you crave, grab some multi grain scoops and get hot salsa!0

Cayenne pepper sprinkled in some hot lemon water? lol. Sorry, I've got nothing.0

Take one Flat Out flatbread spread one laughing cow cheese on it, bake it at 350 until cheese is melting, cut it into strips, and then hit it with hot sauce or sriracha. YUM! 120 calories.0

I too am addicted to hot Cheetos. They are my weakness. I just cut back. I have learned that just because you love something that isn't necessarily good for you doesn't mean you have to give it up. If its what you want have it just not every day and don't over do it. If you buy a huge bag of course your going to go back to it. Buy a small bag to reward yourself. Me personally I have cut back. I figure I could reward myself every 2 weeks or so. When I do I get the 1.49 bag. It's bigger than the 2/$1 and smaller than the big bags. Whatever you figure works for you then you do that.0

Spinach mixed with onions and jalapenos. I could sprinkle red pepper flakes on ice cream and not taste them now.0

For breakfast this morning I had 2 scrambled eggs (using olive oil pan spray) and instead of ketchup for a garnish, I used sriracha sauce. Yeah, ok. I almost needed a Tums, but if you are into spicy, this might be a good breakfast or even nice protein snack item for you. Just a thought....0

Kale chips sprinkled with red pepper flakes. Or what you're craving, just in moderation.0

Do you make those chips or buy them? I'm really interested in finding store bought kale chips for my wife. Personally, the only chips I eat are a bag of lays when I get subway. (need the fats and they taste oh so good)0

Some good ideas here. I would say don't start but if you have to, cut it down to every two weeks, then eat a moderate size helping. But if I'm addicted to something I have to cut it out entirely. One is too many and a thousand is not enough...0

I've only made them. I bet whole foods would carry them.0

That sounds freakin' delish! Thanks!0

I was addicted to Flamin' Hot Cheetos for the longest time. lol
Eventually I taught myself to get myself a small bowl of them instead of eating straight from the bag, and then I stopped eating them entirely. =P0 -
I'm not addicted to flaming hot cheetoes. I don't really like them, but chester's hot fries? It's like my One Ring! it's the spice mixed with that undertone of ... onion? flavor. It's like if those green bean chips had a baby with a spicy Funyun...
And speaking of those green bean chips ... (I hope people know what I'm talking about, because I can't remember what exactly they're called), I wonder if you could substitute the hot fries for those chips, maybe sprinkled with ... pepper? Now if only you could get that onion flavor in there...0 -
great ideas here. I used to be able to have 1 oz serving of Lay's chips with my meals ,but no more, I can't stop thinking about them in the house & will eat the whole bad so I stopped buying them. I did find some spicy pickles that are delish that I like to have with my meals0
