  • Are you kidding me? You're asking a forum of non-qualified people for advice on COMPLETELY REMOVING MILK FROM YOUR 4 YEAR OLDS DIET?! No.. stick with real milk - did you even read the packaging on almond milk? And in the future ask a doctor not the uneducated public.
  • This advice is the biggest load of bull**** I have ever seen.
  • You're in a really similar position as me. When you get this close to your goal weight it gets really hard and the scales don't budge very often at all. However, you are exercising a tonne! Doing that and eating healthily your body will be changing, chances are you're gaining a lot of muscle. Don't be surprised if the…
  • I think what was meant by this is that you are losing fat but if you're exercising you've probably also gained muscle. This would mean you would be smaller but weigh the same amount.
  • Hmm I see, I possibly didn't eat enough before hand, I had toast and jam for breakfast then an apple a while later then went to workout just before lunch. Afterwards I went to my favourite juice bar and got a shake and a chicken pita. So I feel like I ate enough afterwards, I was so full. The thought of a PB&J sandwich is…
  • I'd say anywhere in a 'normal' BMI range (if you aren't overly muscley) is fine. Just stop losing when you feel comfortable with your body. Personally, I'm 5'9" and my goal is 130lb, this puts my BMI at 19.5, perfectly healthy but on the small side - just where I want to be. Its personal preference and I'd say lose until…
  • Thank you :) I really want to get some dumbbells and start working my arms, do you have any suggestions on what sort of weights I should get? Thanks :D
  • What you have to remember is that MFP is giving you the amount you should be consuming (i.e worked out your daily expenditure and taken some off it so you lose weight). I am assuming these other websites are simply giving you your BMR or your daily expenditure, they aren't taking into consideration a deficit for losing…
  • But if you aren't doing much exercise your daily energy expenditure won't be much over 2000 and to lose weight you want to be consuming less than you're expending, thats why MFP is giving you a calorie intake of 1600 to account for a deficit so you lose weight.
  • It sounds to me like the MFP estimate is more accurate if you're wanting to lose weight. At little to no activity 2k cal seems a bit high for a female. Having said this, it is different for everyone and you might find you get great loss with 2k calorie intake but personally I would stick with MFP for now and see how it…
  • If you're doing weight training the 'plateau' could be due to weight gain due to muscle :)
  • We're going to need some more info about you to help you on this. Could you tell us your age/gender/weight/height/activity level? Calorie intake is based on a number of things and any number you get is always going to be an estimate.
  • It definitely depends on the person, I feel nauseous just thinking about exercising after I eat and I usually wait a few hours but try to eat within 30minutes after. If you can work-out without any problems after a light snack I don't see why you shouldn't.
  • Sounds like a good idea, I'd love to join :D
  • Hey Emily, another Emily here, welcome and good luck with your journey! Added you as a friend :)
