  • I've been on Slim Fast for 8 days and they fill me. I've lost 6lb in that time and I don't have a great deal to lose so this is very rapid for me - my exercise is walking for 1-2 hours a day. I've been on the 3-2-1 Slim Fast so I've been having a shake for breakfast, a mid morning Slim Fast snack, a shake for lunch, 2 Slim…
  • I like the taste of Slim Fast - they've come a long way since how they used to taste years ago. I know very well how to prepare healthy meals and have lost weight over the years doing so (to the point where I lost too much weight). I then swung the opposite way - I'm very much a yo-yo eater because I love my food. So I…
  • Better to lift heavier with less Kim. Much much better, more effective. Also, for quicker fat burn you should do your weights stuff first before any cardio. (I trained as a fitness instructor last year although you wouldn't think it sometimes).
  • Hi Kim! Perhaps make a chicken one instead?
  • You've inspired me. Me bum is pretty much like yours in your first pic and I want it to be like your 2n d pic. Deadlifts and step ups here I come!!!! Well done:)))
  • There are some very refrained people on here, eating just one bit of chocolate! If Tabitha is anything like me, she'll want the whole lot. Never can understand anyone who can eat one bit and keep the rest tucked away in a cupboard. I so envy your willpower and need some of that! I refrain from having chocolate in the house…
  • So funny! My friend once updated her Facebook status with predictive text and it said: 'Just had the best yorkshire piss ever'. It was meant to say puds.
  • Thanks:) I usually lose motivation fast but not with this. It's 30 days afterall. And 20 mins a day. If I can't do this I may as well give up altogether:) Think I definately need to up my carbs to get through it though. Thankfully, I don't feel as tired this afternoon as I did this morning. Although I'm sure I'll be…
  • Have I even hinted at the excuse to take time off?? That isn't an option. I'm getting plenty of sleep but you're right, need to increase my carbs.
  • I'm 5ft 2". I tend to take no notice of BMI but my aim is to get to 8 and half stone. I have been that weight before and people have said it was too small for me. I'm currently just over 9 stone and people think I look fine. But I still feel better at 8 and half. I have DD breasts which weigh 2lbs total (I know this as…
  • Everyone is different and one thing that makes the difference is your seratonin levels. I was diagnosed as having low seratonin last year (and put on anti-depressants). I was astonished to learn that people with low seratonin should have a diet high in carbs. Which rings completely true for me because if I have little…
  • I've heard a few people say they prefer level 2 so I'm looking forward to seeing what that's like. I'll certainly be ready for the change after another 6 days of this! You're nearly at level 3 now, you lucky thing! Good luck!
  • Why don't you get 30 day shred DVD? That way, it's only a 20 minute workout a day and I'm pretty sure you'll get good results from doing that alone. I'm doing it at the minute. It's hard and I'm hoping it's going to get easier but it's simple knowing it's just 20 minutes and works your whole body.
  • It makes complete sense what you're saying but I have no faith in myself and if I took a day off, it would likely lead to a week:) I've just got to keep at it otherwise I fear I'll fail completely.
  • Yes, the push ups are a killer. I thought I'd be tough and do them Natalie style the first day. That has never happened again since! I'm with Nadine for push ups:) Hope to get up to Natalie's level by the end - I used to be able to do full push ups last year and I'm mystified now as to how I ever could.
  • Yes, keep a beady eye on that Natalie. When she thinks the camera has moved away from her, she stops moving:) Probably because she's done 8 hours of squats earlier in the day but I like to think it's cos she's just lazy, lol:) But no matter how much of a zombie I feel, I'm determined not to give up. I'll sue Jillian when…
  • What you have to try to remember is that eating the right foods is good for building up your muscle and creating that very toned look. You will tone up twice as quick if you're eating the right foods. And the energy you will get from food will make you work harder. Mind you, I'm no expert and I'm a fine one to preach as I…
  • I'm hearing your pain. I'm an all or nothing girl and last year I stayed tea total for a full year. Oh how I regret falling off that wagon. For that year, I felt amazing. I exercised loads and lost loads of weight. I wasn't really having to watch what I ate as the healthy no alcohol lifestyle allowed me to eat more and…
  • Errr, what?!!!!! At first, when I scrolled down, I thought you were perhaps the one in the stripey top as the faces are so alike (sorry). And I had to keep scrolling up and down and then noticed you said you're the one in the black dress. My god, what a transformation! You look fantastic!!
  • With a torso like that at the age of 47, you should be damn proud of yourself!
  • Oh god, will it stop me getting the six pack I'm working towards?!! That's not good!
  • Thanks! Think I'll just stop tracking it then! No point worrying over it. I mean, when I have a pizza as a treat, that'll definately have enough salt in it!
  • I wonder if this is why I go to the toilet alot? Because my body isn't retaining water? I even have to get out of bed at least twice during the night to go, which is annoying.
  • Thanks! I'm going to start updating the database with the sodium levels of the foods I eat. Would like to track it as I've just read on the internet lack of sodium causes fatigue. I've always always been a very tired person and my family say it's cos I'm veggie which could be partly right. I've read that celery is good for…
  • Aah, yes, you're probably right. People probably don't bother entering the sodium details:)
  • Wow! Fantastic!! And you look ten years younger too. Think all of the before and after photos I've seen make people look so much younger.
  • Yes, I think it's the keeping busy and not sitting in front of the TV that I need. Think I need a new hobby to keep my mind occupied. Not exercise, as I'll just see that as a chore and I like to get that over with early in the day - it's the evenings I need to do something with. Will just have to stay strong and change my…
  • This makes complete sense to me, thanks. Not being preachy at all. I love my Friday night in front of the TV with my pizza and wine and guess I do crave it. I just have to learn that if I do that, it doesn't give me free reign to do the same on Saturday and Sunday nights. Although for now, whilst I'm doing my 30 day shred,…
  • I was on 20g fluoxetine for a while and it made me lose loads of weight. It had the same effect on my friend too. I've often been tempted to go back on it for that reason but I know that's wrong:)
