Well done for your great loss so far! Sorry you're suffering. Could be a sign of low blood sugar - do you eat regular small meals or go a long time between?

I'm all over breakfast today :D About to make a yummy protein pancake with low fat choccy philadelphia and fresh raspberries. Oh yes. Diary's open if you want the "recipe." Can't waiiiit. Snacks I go for tend to be high protein to keep me satisfied: + Post-work out protein shake made with soy or almond milk, and an…

Inspirational loss so far! I'm also looking to build some muscle, I'm about to start the New Rules of Lifting For Women program :) My diary's wide open - I eat a fairly high protein, fully vegetarian diet. I'm committed to losing weight the healthy way, 11 lbs gone so far, with another 28 lbs to go until I hit my goal…

Hi all, I had people over for dinner the other day and wanted to serve a yummy pudding that wouldn't ruin my diary for the day, so I made this lower fat / lower cal chocolate mousse - it was SO delicious, no one guessed it was an adapted recipe. Served with fresh raspberries. I used 70% cocoa chocolate too, plus I boosted…

I've been really trying to focus on the *when* I'm eating, as well as the *what* recently. I've been experimenting with tailoring my meals to my workout plan - so on the days when I do a heavy evening work out, I've been taking a meal to work (usually a homemade wrap or an Innocent veg pot) to have an hour or so before I…

I experimented with meal timings today... I usually get home too tired to make proper hot meal after my double Wednesday workout, but it means I get lazy and just rely on protein shakes / yoghurts etc - so today I had dinner at 5pm, at work (Innocent Veg Pot) and then a protein shake when I got home. Had more energy for my…

A little late to this, but I'm doing good! I've got to that happy stage where I wake up in the morning, jump up out of bed and feel a bit slimmer each day :blushing: Was really happy with my loss last week (3lbs) so will be sticking to my crazy exercise program - but also enjoying the occasional treat meal (such as tonight…

I love it when... + You tell me how strong I am, how impressed you are with my will power :) + You notice that I'm looking slimmer and that my fitness levels are increasing. + You come running with me! I hate it when... - You ask me if that's "all I'm having" - my day will be balanced, I have it all planned out! - You turn…

Bath, hello :blushing:

I use a soy protein isolate (from myprotein.com - unflavoured, dirt cheap, love it!) I've read that whey isolate protein powders are usually okay for people who are lactose intolerant :)

3 HIGH-RISK EVENTS / TIMES: 1. Socialising with friends. This nearly always revolves around food and drink. I love cooking for people, having friends over for dinner, sharing lovely bottles of wine - so do all my awesome friends, and I don't want that to change! To keep on the straight and narrow, all I can really do at…

Ha, this came along about 10 minutes too late for me - just caved and ate a mini handful of Honey Hoops cereal :D I didn't make my protein shake early enough and got really hungry and craved carbs so much... Couldn't resist. Logged them though - and I'll try the eat-in-future technique next time.

I will stick to the Narrow Road day to day, while I'm trying to achieve my goal weight. The Wider Road is for special occasions only (and eventually maintenance) - it is not an excuse to forget the Narrow Road exists! NARROW ROAD - - + Keep to 1200 calories. + Keep an eye on my macros: make sure I'm taking on more protein…

A Task I Don't Feel Like Doing... Today, I really don't feel like going to my Spinning Class after work. I'm aching from my workout yesterday and it means I'll have to shower and do my hair and make up at the gym (bright lights, cold showers, yuck...) before going out to meet my friends for dinner. But I'm going to do it…

Great idea. Hello, I'm Cat! I'm a 25 year old Events Producer living and working in the beautiful South West of the UK. My goal weight is 140 lbs, which means, although I'm 8 lbs down on my starting weight, I'm still carrying 31 lbs too many! I do find it fairly easy to lose weight when I put my mind to it - but I tend to…

I just took my first set of progress pictures - will be keeping them on my phone to be repulsed by every time I even think for a second about not hitting the gym ;)

+ I will stick to my new exercise regime religiously for the next month - it's a tough program but it's going to be a brilliant kick start. + I will commit to logging everything - food and exercise - every day. Even if I have a social event. + I will commit to 16 hour overnight fasts, twice a week. + I will concentrate on…

Could you try a protein shake? Sometimes I don't feel much like eating first thing, but a protein shake is light enough not to feel too overwhelming (especially if it's iced, I find for some reason!) - plus it's going to give you a decent nutritional start to the day, and should keep you full until mid-morning when you…

1. I used to think that falling off the wagon for one day meant the whole week was ruined, and that I may as well continue to make poor choices - but now I draw a line under the mistake, try to understand why I slipped up, and move on. 2. I used to worry that whatever I did, I'd never get the body that I really wanted, so…

I use the Soy Isolate protein from My Protein. It's super cheap, and soy protein is meant to be great for girls. It's a bit grainy but if you mix in a blender, no problem... I buy the unflavoured version, so I can control what goes into it (usually some stevia and cocoa powder.) It's really nice blended with almond milk :)…

Fellow veggie here :) I also struggle with carbs - my my top tip (if you eat them) is eggs! Making big filling omlettes with lots of low carb (green, leafy) vegetables, herbs or spices and some low fat cheese means you get a big old protein boost, feel fuller for longer etc. Quorn products are also a great low fat, high…

I'm more of a bondie but I do come from a big family of lovely red heads - and my boyfriend's red too <3 Would be honoured to count any of you fine firey headed people among my MFP friends - feel free to add me up :)

I can't stand mushrooms but I WISH I liked them as they seem to be a great low-cal, 'meaty' food! I've seen lots of restaurants use a large fresh portobello in place of a burger. Maybe skip the bun (or just use half), grill the mushroom with some garlic oil, add fresh salsa, a little cheese, tomatoes, chilli sauce....…
