  • Started keto (and intermittent fasting) at the start of Jan and am currently down 17lbs  I have 33lbs still to shift and would love some fellow keto pals - feel free to add me!
  • Make "Golden Milk" before bed! It's delicious, and it helps you sleep :) Here's how I do it (there are lots of variations out there!) + 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (any milk is fine, I just like almond!) + 2 tsp turmeric + 1 tsp ginger + 1 tsp cinnamon + 4 cardamon pods, cracked + pinch of fresh black pepper + stevia /…

  • Not sure if you're in the right country to be able to watch this, but if you can: do! You'll feel so much better :blushing: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/one-born-plus-size-mums It's a documentary looking into the danger that overweight mum's-to-be can unwittingly place their babies in - both in the womb and during…

  • 34D here. I just wear two cheap ones at the same time, layered :blushing:
  • You can normally buy very cheap, massive bags of them (still podded) frozen in Asian supermarkets if you have any close to you :blushing:
  • Good luck with your weigh ins tomorrow everyone! I've been moving house all week - eating's not been great and I haven't been to the gym once - not expecting a loss but crossing my fingers that with all those stairs, cleaning and lifting, I at least won't have gained!

  • I made a really yummy lentil soup last week - posted the recipe here :flowerforyou: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Oh_Cat/view/thai-squash-lentil-chard-soup-recipe-425146
  • I'm doing the 5:2 plan - two days a week, restriction to 500 cals. The rest of the week, I'm just eating sensibly and healthily until I'm full :) I'm already seeing some really good results in terms of body fat loss, and I'm not finding it too tough to stick to, so fingers crossed its my secret weapon to getting to under…

  • I'm going to add more runs into my routine! My goal for 2013 is to complete a full length triathlon in a decent time, and I really need to start working on the running part :) Will be continuing with my 5:2 fasting plan as its definitely working well for me in terms of fat loss. I'm also moving house this week, so there'll…

  • Hi everyone! So I have 10 more pesky pounds to lose... and I know they'll be the hardest to shift! I'd love to be a part of this group, as I *need* the motivation for this final big push. A loss of 14lbs would put me just under my target weight (140lbs) - which would mean that I didn't need to worry about over indulging at…
  • I don't like it enough to drink nearly the amounts you need to get the benefits, so I take it as a super strength supplement - http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1248&prodid=996&cid=140 I take it half an hour or so before my main workout of the day with a small snack, as rocket fuel to power me…
  • Fage 0% is the only yoghurt I've found with more protein than carbs. Love it. Mash a banana into a pot for the yummiest breakfast. If you don't like the tartness of Greek yog, add some natural stevia / truvia. Special treat: mix with a small pot of chocolate philadelphia, soooo good :D
  • I'm trying to make exercise a bigger part of my social life - so I helped found a brand new Roller Derby League! My profile picture is of me (blonde one) and a friend at our very first training session :blushing:
  • I have learned that I just can't have any kind of granola in the house. It is breakfast crack. I *will* eat the whole box.
  • Agree with everyone else - if it works for you, falls within your macros and keeps you on the straight and narrow, more power to ya sister ;)
  • I'm veggie so the Attack Phase is a bit of a bummer for me, but I'd recommend a nice fluffy omlette, made with a few whites, one yolk, some 0% greek yoghurt, a little salt and black pepper. Add to a pan then pop some low fat cream cheese on to one side before you flip the other side over to fold it up. I add hot sauce too…
  • I live on the stuff :D I like it as a pre workout snack with a teaspoon of jam and a teaspoon of crunchy peanut / almond butter. It's also a great sour cream sub as Elen said!
  • Drink water! Drink water like you've never drunk water before! Flush out those bugs :D My mum's a nurse and whenever I was sick off school, she'd put me a massive jug of water by my bed and say "I want all that to be gone by lunchtime!" - always helped massively :)
  • I was away with no internet for this weigh in - but here are my numbers I should have reported with for the week of the 22nd July :) Weight - 164lbs Exercise cals burned - 5167
  • A week of bad choices might mean gaining a temporary pound or two, but it doesn't do anything to detract from all that great dedication, all those brilliant choices you made and all that awesome resolve that you've had in the past! You've still *done* amazingly - this is a temporary slip up (we all have these) - and now…
  • I agree - punches (with handweights if you have them) - plus upper body strength work - lateral raises etc? If you want to go swimming, these are meant to be good... http://www.bloccs.com/?gclid=CLGTx6jporEC****tAodORWIoA My brother used one for swimming etc when he was still in a cast for a broken leg! Hope you're on the…
  • Thanks so much everyone! I'm going to see if my gym can do some kind of measurement for me. I like the idea of the handheld analysers (would rather something I can do in home, in private!) but a lot of the reviews say they can give vastly differing readings form one moment to the next... Will check out the online calcs…
  • I love my coffee but I'm also thinking about cutting it down to my weekend rest day only as I've been reading about how it can stop your absorption of vitamins :( I did speak to a nutritionist a few weeks ago who said that a good quality, non-chemically decaffeinated (water method) coffee is pretty much fine though,…
  • Thanks, I'll check that out :)
  • Hi, not intrusive at all! I'm about 5' 6 I think, and I vary between a size 14 and 16 (depending on shop!) I'd say I'm kind of a pear-y hourglass shape. I have a reasonably well defined waist, but my hips are probably a bit wider that my chest... Carry my weight pretty much all over! Hope that helps :flowerforyou:
  • New weight -166lbs (2lb loss) Calories burned - 5990 (Small chance I'll run tonight - but I'm pretty sure that's my burn for the week done!)
  • Some people find it easier to mark out a couple of water bottles, so you can see how much you need to drink by when :)
