  • If you really can't get in more than 1000 calories then don't eat so clean all the time. Have a doughnut and a glass of juice for breakfast and you're starting off with like 600+
  • Exactly how does that work?
  • If you want to see good results from the strength training you should be eating a surplus of calories. If you're trying to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time it's pretty hard to do efficiently. Some say it can't really be done....
  • *I do have pics to prove it btw* Lets see these pics you speak of...

  • Nothing is going to happen in 10 days. Sounds like you're imagining the jiggly. 60 reps is a lot of reps for squats. A lot of reps. You will see better results more quickly using enough weight so that you can't do more than 10 or 12 reps without failure.

  • Well these aren't muscle pulls you're experiencing. Muscle pulls(strains), are extremely painful. Like fall on the ground grabbing the muscle while screaming painful. There would be redness and swelling which will give way to a pretty gnarly bruise. When you strain a muscle you know it for sure. You'll have that oh crap…
  • As long as you feel ok doing it then go for it. Your body will tell you to knock it off it doesn't like it. I juice fast a few days every month or so and will juice fast a couple weeks once a year. I never really bought into the whole your body heals itself because it doesn't have to digest food thing. For me I think I…
  • It's ok to take a day off once in a while. Have a good time with your kids and enjoy a burger. Have dessert while you're at it, it's not going to hurt your progress.
  • Here is a good place to start http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/iovate5.htm .. That is pretty much the way to do it when you want to hit every muscle group in one workout. The website is a good source of weight training information. Lots of different routines and nutrition advice. Just be aware they're a supplement retailer…
  • I don't think biking is really an effective way to tone up. It's better for burning calories to facilitate weight loss and building cardiovascular strength and endurance. If she wants muscle tone she needs to weight train. Get her a gym membership instead.
  • Building muscle and losing fat don't happen efficiently at the same time. It's hard to build strength and muscle tone without a calorie surplus, specifically consisting of lots of protein. You really need a proper gym to strength train properly. Building muscle efficiently requires lifting heavy weights and body weight…
  • Not sure what you mean. If the calories are coming from tequila, then yeah it's pretty bad for you. A protein shake, some fresh veggie juice, or a fresh smoothie are fine in moderation.
  • Roast the cauliflower in the oven, or else you have to ring all the water out of it to not end up with soupy mash. Also use a potato masher not a blender or food processor, or they get gummy, just like over whipped regular potatoes do. Cream cheese is ok, I use real butter and cream and a little bit of fresh garlic. Please…

  • Ramen soup is 18 cents a brick at Walmart. That's like 30 meals for $5.00 if you really are broke. Ramen and I were good friends in college, we go way back. If you're seriously full on 700 calories then eat a doughnut. Eat two doughnuts. And a candy bar. 700 calories is eating disorder territory. Here's a link if you need…
  • 15 is a little ridiculous. It make sense that someone who weighs 240 would need more than someone 120 lbs, but 4 liters is shanaenae. Plus the water in other beverages and foods counts too. You're supposed to go by the color of your pee and adjust as necessary.
  • Sounds like you're not burning more calories than you are taking in. From what you wrote you really don't know exactly what you are burning or exactly what you are eating. Get a heart rate monitor and a food scale. You can't ballpark this stuff and I'm 100% sure fb exaggerates their calories burned. Theyre trying to sell…

  • It's your body, but I would say that is too much and you are risking overtraining and injury. I do 10k steps every morning and it's a good hour and a half just for that at my pace. Also if your eating at a deficit, weight training is not very effective. You're asking your body to gain muscle mass without giving it the…
  • I would leave a toxic environment, life is too short. How much you exercise depends on you. I would crawl before I walk, which is to say don't do too much too soon. But regular exercise will do wonders for your mood and energy levels. I would at least find the time to take a 15-20 minute walk every day and build on that.…

  • Avoid carbs, especially starches and sugars and your calories will go a lot further. Protein and fiber just keep you fuller for longer so you won't be hungry all the time. Exercise will also help you a lot in your journey. Not only will you get to eat more calories but your mood and energy levels will be greatly improved.…
  • I walk everyday rain or shine,no rest days for me. You can walk on your rest day if you like. Core and calves can also be worked every day if you wanna. I suppose you're not really resting if you do any exercise though...
  • Granola is going to be high carb with sugar or not, you're going to have an insulin response. Anyways wheat germ is great addition to any granola recipe.
  • I normally don't recommend personal trainers BUT, you are definitely the exception. They're great for gymophobes as you call it. It really helps people in your situation to have an appointment, it will help you show up and keep you accountable on days where you don't have a session. You won't be expected to know anything…
  • The first number that says GOAL is where you want to end up. Your goal is 1692, that is where you want to end up when you add up everything you ate and drank and subtracted the exercise calories (Mfp does this for you). Your actually short 816 calories today. Yes you should eat that back and try to get within 100 calories…
  • Ellipticals are notorious liars when it comes to calories burned. Heart rate monitors are the most accurate if you can afford one. I can't do more than 30 minutes on the elliptical without my foot falling asleep. If you can jog you should just do that, you will burn the most calories the fastest except for maybe swimming.…
  • Because you're not really eating less than you are burning. You have to be very accurate honest and consistent with logging everything you eat and drink.
  • What just pin her down and suck a tittie? Me thinks she may protest too much....
  • Ok I'll bite. I'm an adult male lion, where do I get my milk if I want some? Whole Foods or Publix?
