One thing that really helps is to not think of it as "dieting" (which is a negative), but think of it as a healthy lifestyle change (a positive).

I use the sedentary setting and then add in activities. I use a FitBit to automatically add in my normal daily activity and add in whatever exercise activities I do. It seems to work for me.

I agree with the others. You HAVE lost weight and I would be willing to bet you have (more importantly) lost inches. Don't fixate on the scale, it doesn't tell the whole story. Don't think in terms of "being on a diet" but instead think in terms of "living a healthier lifestyle" (negative vs positive thinking). That, and just follow the MFP numbers and don't try to make it overly complicated.

Over on protein is good as long as you're getting enough if other nutrients and you're working your muscles.

The more you worry about it the more likely you are to fail. Yesterday is gone and won't be coming back. Focus on today, approach it with a positive, upbeat attitude, and move forward. Don't think if it as "being on a diet", but as a positive, healthy lifestyle change.

Thanks, folks. I did tell them about MFP and how much it has helped. The doctor said she was going to "check it out" and maybe recommend it to other truckers who need to get in better condition.
