I was doing isagenix... For 2 weeks.. Lost 6 pounds. Was active and tracking everything.... When I stopped ( due to health reasons) I gained 4 back.... Yet I was eating the same number of calories and mainly fresh with lIt's of protein and fibre..... It may work for others, but I found out real fast that it comes back on!!…

Gluten also affects those that are insulin resitant... so even though I am not celiac, I still have to really watch the amount of gluten that I eat.

happy to say that I cancelled my isagenix program and going to follow the MFP plan! Eating healthy. I am getting a full refund ( except the shipping cost) so the $50 i spent, has helped me realize what I need to do to lose weight naturally, healthy and to KEEP IT OFF!! Thanks for all your input! The one comment especially…

so I am guessing that the 2 day cleanses that we are suppose to do are not really required?? Question then, what is a good proportion for carbs to fat to protein ( when tracking on MFP)

I never thought of it that way, but makes sense...

i am eating GLuten free as I have PCOS ( some may not know what that is) and insulin intolerant, so it was suggested that I try to eat clean ( no processed foods, no carbonated beverages, and try to eat only fresh ( or home made meals) ) And I do find that 1200-1300 calories is enough for me, but on days that I do more…

I never considered myself an inspirtation....i always thought of myself of "the big girl" who would be inspired by me.......however I AM my biggest FAN! When I see what I have accomplished I am inspired :) And I had a family friend visit last night (whom I havene't seen since November) and she was AMAZED at how much I have…

That is awesome. I am training for a 10km run ( signed up for a 5km in May). Today was the first time EVER that I ran at 6MPH and did it for 3 mins and then dropped down to 5MPH for the remaining 7 mins, then walked 3 mins at 3.8MPH, then back to running at 6MPH for 2 mins to be followed by my 4.5MPH-5MPH. I had sweat…

I have been doing a strength training program set up by a trainer at the gym. It is 6 different workouts (Incline pull, incline press, abs, back, biceps and legs ). I have also been doing the 30 Day Shred (though I have missed the past 2 days). I am doing the Zen Labs 10km training program (on my Ipod) right now I am on…

Thank you. I have been following MFP for 85 days and exercising 4-5 times a week. Just was wondering if there was anything else to help in the process or if there were additional exercises that would assist. I will keep plugging on :)

I just finished day 5 of level 1. well i didn't actually follow the DVD. I have started it numerous times so have all the exercises memorized, so I was using my interval timer and did it without listening to Jillian. It was a great workout

I completed Day 4 today. I was going to skip today, but had a cherry danish for breakfast, so felt I needed to "work it off". My calves are killing me, but I do it bare foot. Anyone else have the problem?? Also, does anyone else have problems with the push ups, never have been able to do push ups, so sometimes I just go…

This is a great idea, I get so tired of listeneing to her. Gonna try that tomorrow

Well i decided to do Day 3 of 30DS today instead of skipping. I am also training for a 10km (Doing Zen Labs 10km Training app), so i am not sure if I should take a break from 30DS when I do my run training. I also do strength training at the gym 3 times a week. But i figure since the 30DS hits every muscle and is only 25…

I started yesterday and completed day 2 tonight. I am taking a break tomorrow and then back at it on Monday.

thanks deksgrl, that is exactly what I needed. I have printed that off and it will be my "bible" for the 2 weeks while I am gone :) Thanks

My advice would be to find a used treadmill and train on that. It works for all weather and you can do it when your little one is sleeping. You can probably get a used one for 200-300. Also, just cuz you can't run in the house, start training by doing cardio DVD's or some strength training (check you tube). On days that it…

CONGRATS, My husband just joined MFP almost 2 weeks ago (SW is 324) he has lost almost 7lbs since starting. I am sooo proud of him for joining and will share your story with him as you are an inspiration. What was your SW and how many calories were you consuming? Also, were you exercising at all??? Great Job!!!

Thank you all for your advice. This particular run/walk event has a time limit of 4 hours which is 11:24 per km. I looked up Jeff Galloway's training and think I may try that. My only issue I have right now, is that we have so much snow and ice, that I can't train outside. Would running on the track at the gym be ok for…
