Isagenix question
I have a question for those who have used isagenix and a question for those who haven't. 1) If you have used Isagenix and have seen results, how long were you on the program for and did you keep the weight off? 2) For those that don't use or are against shake meal replacements: - Even though I am using Isagenix to help…

Down 40 lbs....60 more to go. (pics)
Well as of yesterday I am officially down 40 lbs. I was on a plateau for 3 weeks, with the scale not moving, but it finally did. I work out 5-6 times a week, doing various things from Zumba (at home with the Wii), to running (training for a 10km) to doing the elliptical at the gym. I also do 3 days of strength training at…

Eating at night, but within calories
Hi all, Years ago I remember people telling me "To lose weight you don't want to eat past 7pm". But to me, that is like Chinese torture. I run a home daycare, so am busy all day long (from 7am until 5:30pm) and then have 2 young children to look after. So needless to say, after 7:30 is when I sit down and have some "me"…

My first NSV with running
I started out walking/jogging back in September. About 2 mins of jogging for every 10 mins of walking for a total of 30 mins. Well today I decided I would go for a short tun outside. It was cool out, but felt great. I started with my 3-5 min of walking and then started running. I was enjoying it so much I just kept going.…

calories burned running and elliptical
Just wondering if anyone else goes by the "calories Burned" on the elliptical machines? At the gym I always enter my weight to get an accurate calorie burn/ Today after 35 mins on the Elliptical (10 mins level 1 at about 6-6.6mph) 10mins on level 15 (53.5mph) and 10 mins level 8 doing intervals of 6mph 9.5 mph> It said my…

Do you eat your calories back that you burn
Just wondering how others treat the calories they burn doing exercise? I ran today and burned 720 calories. I ate 400 of them back, but don't want to eat them all as I feel it defeats the purpose of exercise. Also, just wondering how many calories others eat and how much they work out? I eat 1500 calories ( Sometimes more)…

How many calories should we be eating
MFP says I should eat 1410 calories a day. I am a home daycare provider, so pretty much constantly on my feet moving around and then try to get to the gym 4-5 times a week, and if not that I get outside for a run. My current weight is 232lbs. Sometimes i feel that the 1410 calories is enough, but there are days (like…

Progress pics...slow scale but melting inches
Some of you have been following my progress over the past few months. I started my journey September 19th at 255.2 ( my highest being in March 2012 at 266lbs) I decided that it was time to do something for myself. So I joined Weight Watchers, and then the gym a couple weeks later. I decided that it was silly to pay a big…

10 weeks in and the scale has stopped moving
I started my journey at 255 on Sept 19/13. I was doing ok (doing weight watchers) then 3 weeks later started tracking with MFP and started to see the weight fall off. I was averaging about 2-3lbs a week. I am currently at 238. However, for the past 2 weeks the scale has moved a total of .8 lbs. I eat around 1400-1500…
