I know what you mean. I don't think there is much you can do for anyone with an ED unless you are reaallllly intimately close with them. Ultimately people have to choose to help themselves. I can personally say I am happier now, eating enough and working out and SEEING RESULTS!!! than I ever was when I decided that 800…

So I have been sticking to a 1200-1400 cal diet and trying to keep it 45% Carbs 20% fat 35% protein and it's working much better than 40/20/40 was omg lol. I just got done with my TOM and woke up to see a body I haven't seen on myself due to healthy living and exercise ever... I say this because at one time I *did* get to…

I would go with the grilled chicken salad Fat Free French dressing and no croutons. It may still be a little over but if you ask for the chicken to be grilled using no butter or oil that will help too :)

I pick a midrange one as well. However, now I try to only go to restaurants that list their nutrition facts or a get something very simple and easy to log like ahi tuna salad. I ask the server not to use ANY oil in cooking the fish, I estimate its weight in ounces (I;ve gotten pretty good at this) and then I get a plain…

You are doing whether you know it or not, a "very low calorie diet". In my opinion, even though sub 1200 cal diets can be healthy for some, you should def see a doctor to make sure you are staying healthy, getting enough vitamins etc. Be safe and be healthy but most of all be happy :)

I was on the last thread as well :) I haven't used a scale in monthhhhhss but I do keep measurements. I'm trying to stick to a 1200 cal diet but on days that I burn well over 500cals in exercise I eat more like 1400... well I try :). I'm 5'2" and have a muscular build which I am learning to love. I don't really want to be…

You know what my day started off quite sheisty... however, a good workout and encouragement from all my MFP friends perked me right up. Something that makes me smile... When little dogs get their lip stuck behind a tooth giving them that amazingly cute small but tough face... also When I buy something and it is…

Tricky question. BMI is just a general estimate... If you think you are healthy where you are at see a doctor and have things like your cholesterol and body fat tested. Weight and BMI can be misleading. There are other indicators of health and it may be something you want to look into. Best of luck!

Great post. I had to really learn to be accountable, and log EVERYTHING I eat before the weight started coming off. I was so frustrated because MFP said I should be losing weight, but I wasn't. The truth is, I was lying to myself... coming to terms with my own issues has been a huge (and ever ongoing) step towards my…

I would def eat something more than fruit, maybe aim for 200-300 cals of protein and carbs and try not to eat it right before you run :) 1 piece of whole wheat toast with 1Tbsp of Almond or peanut butter would be about 200 cals throw some banana slices on top ( bananas help prevent cramps) and you should be at 250 or so :)…

There is no shame in taking advantage of the help that is out there for people who need it. I give you kudos for not only trying to make ends meet but making the decision to try and be healthy while doing it. You said that if you get through this month things should get better, I hope that you find success and happiness…
