That is certainly part of the process - but if you don't put the correct fuel in the engine won't run.

I disagree that eating healthy food is more expensive - the ingredients for a large pan of healthy vegetable soup costs a great deal less than the equivalent amount in cans which are full of sugar and additives. The ingredients for a main meal, of for example pasta and meatballs in tomato sauce, for four people cost much…

I don't have 'cheat' days ....the only person I'm cheating is me. But I don't freak out if I go over my calorie allowance once in a while either, I just get back on track next day.

Totally agree ....usually the more processed the food...the higher the calories and the lower the nutritional value. I buy from farm shops as much as possible, I prepare 95% of my food at home ....I like to know exactly what I'm putting in my body.

When you signed up your were doing no exercise and 1200 is the minimum MFP set for a sedentary lifestyle. You need to go back into your goals and rest your allowance to take into account the exercise you are doing. If you KNOW you need 1700 calories then manually set that as your daily total. You also need to USE your…

I doubt that you are addicted to food You just need to stop obsessing about the whole thing! I eat anything I want, when I want... BUT.....I only eat small portions of things that have high calorie/ no nutritional value. I log everything I eat...I use a side plate instead of a dinner plate which ensures I eat smaller…

The only sugar in coffee or tea is the sugar you add. Ground or instant coffee and tea leaves or tea bags have no calories and neither does the water you make it with. The calories come from the milk and sugar.

I drink 8-10 cup black coffee every day so I have a habit too. There are 16 calories in every TEASPOON of sugar (so 48 cals per TABLESPOON) - so 10 coffees with 2 teaspoons sugar each is 320 cals! I buy Little's instant coffee - they do a variety of flavours (hazelnut, amaretto, irish cream, maple walnut etc) - L don't…

I'm definitely in the 'over 60' category, I too should know how to lose weight, I've been doing it on and off for most of my life on one diet or another. This time it is more for health reasons than any other...I had high cholesterol, high blood pressure , high blood sugar (Impaired Glucose Tolerance) and have…

YOU ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH!! Use My Fitness Pal to calculate the calories you should be having per day and use ALL of the allowance. You need to read the article just republished - you are starving yourself and you will NOT lose weight if you continue what you are doing.

Weight Watchers have their own forums!!

80 cals for an egg (poached or boiled) and 44 cals for 100ml of orange juice is not a lot out of a 1200 per day allowance. Some fruit is surprising high though.

Just log the calories for whatever you eat and stay within your limit. If you want a slice of bread - or a slice of chocolate cake - go ahead...just log it!

Going to try this

I wish mine would shrink! I'm beginning to look like Dolly Parton! I always lose off my waist and hips faster than my bust and end up looking top heavy. A larger bust seems to make me look fat no matter how much I lose.

Burgers, meatballs or meatloaf? same recipe ....mix the beef with finely chopped onion, garlic and herbs of your choice, shape as required and cook.

You can't undo it....just remove temptation from the house and it can't happen again. Don't beat yourself up it won't help

draw a line under it and move on. It's done, it's over - forget it and get back on the wagon!

Oh I wish that would happen to me!

I lose band size but the cup size stays the same .....I am beginning to look like Dolly Parton!! I have always hated my boobs, they are far too big but short of surgery there seems no way to reduce them.

As long as you stay within your calorie allowance it doesn't matter what time you eat. if you're using up your allowance and then snacking later, you need to adjust your intake to allow for this.
