  • I have found that I feel so much better on low carb. I'D love to do this with you.
  • I love the bone broth protein powders from Ancient Nutrition by Josh Axe. Very filling.
  • I have in the past and they work well. Taste is okay. The Ancient Nutrition bone broth shakes seem to fill me up more.
  • I agree BMI is a joke. I will never be in the normal weight range. I don't want to be but I will be super healthy and fit. I could care less about my BMI. You look amazing BTW>
  • There are 3 adults and one child in my house plus 2 adult cats, 3 kittens and 1 dog and we spend about $550 per month.
  • You definitely need an HRM with a chest strap to be accurate. I also had one that was just a heart rate watch and it was no good. I have a polar ft7 and it's great.
  • According to my BMI when I get to my goal weight I'm still going to be overweight. I really don't want or need to weigh less that 150 but the BMI recommends that I weigh between 115 and 145. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I don't want to be that thin. I would look like the walking dead. You need to find the weight that makes you…
  • Wow. That would be over 2400 calories for me per day. I'm almost certain I would gain a lot of weight doing that for 2 months. But if the goal is to reset your metabolism maybe your not supposed to lose necessarily during that time. I guess the exercise would be needed to burn off the excess. It's an interesting idea…
  • I was on an amazing roll of eating great, working out and losing weight nicely. I went to Disneyworld and "enjoyed" the free dining plan. We walked constantly but I managed to gain 10 pounds. I thought when I got home that whatever damage I did would be undone when I jumped back on track. The problem was I didn't jump back…
  • I have a Polar FT7 and I really like. It's very consistent and I believe very accurate.
  • I have a heart rate monitor and I can do the same workouts with different levels of intensity and burn much different amounts of calories. For example., I did a Turbo Jam workout this morning and burned 288 calories. I did this same exact workout quite a bit last year and at one time burned 443 calories. That's quite a…
  • I used to drink nothing but Diet Dr Pepper. It seemed impossible for me to eat within my calorie range. I cut out all of them except for the occasional one. Now if I drink even one artificially sweetened drink I having cravings so bad that I just can't seem to control my eating. I don't have "scientific proof" but I know…
  • You're a beautiful girl. Congratulations on your loss.
  • I understand how you feel. The fat life is over for you and you just want to forget that time of your life (where your weight is concerned). A fresh start sounds like just what you need. You are an amazing inspiration. I'm in awe by what you have done.
  • I had to repeat days and even weeks on the program. I wouldn't move forward until I was able to do the complete run even if it was difficult.
  • I have the Polar FT7 and I really like it. I think they may have a newer version out now. I had a bodybugg for a while and hated it. I feel the HRMs are much more accurate for your workouts.
  • I've never heard of phephedrine but I took Phentermine for a while and had really good success with it and I didn't suffer any long term side effects. I was under the care of my doctor and she did blood work every three months to make sure nothing was going wrong. I know a lot of people that tried the Phentermine and had…
  • I'd like to join also if I still can. SW:214.8 Labor Day GW: 189
  • I started the c25k last summer and I love it. Unfortunately I have slacked a few times and haven't yet completed but I'm still working on it. I'm planning on running a 5k this summer.
  • I had a bodybug last year and really didn't like it. It didn't help me at all. It doesn't accurately count your calories on activities that don't use your arms. For instance, using the elliptical doesn't show up as burning many calories at all even if you get your heart rate up and keep it there. It also doesn't calculate…
  • I bought a bodybugg last year which is similar and I really didn't find it helpful. I was very self conscious about wearing it. I got asked what it was so much and I didn't like that. It kind of made me obsessive in that I was constantly checking to see how many calories I had burned so I would know what I could eat and…
  • I have tried both and HATED Zumba. I know I must be the oddball as lots of people really like Zumba. For me the Turbo Jam is easier as far as the choreography and burns a lot more based on my HRM. I would recommend TURBO all the way.
