Choosing to make a lifestyle change is the first step. Count your calories, Move your body, You can do it!
-
^^^THIS except I do Wii or Zumba dvd.
-
I do 30-45 minutes cardio 5-6 days a week
-
Remember that you may be shrinking but it's not showing on the scale! Congrats on your lbs lost! That is amazing.
-
um when its my off day...I do NOTHING. I mean its an off day. How is your body supposed to recoup if you are still working out in some capacity? I could be way off base but at least 1 day a week there is NO excercising of any type.

I wouldn't worry about your sugar if it is coming from natural sources such as your banana and apple. Fruit is high in sugar that is the nature of it. You can only watch so many nutrients. You would drive yourself crazy trying to meet each one. Unless for some reason that you need to lower your actual sugar content?

Its under cardio for counting calories burned. However if you are trying to improve your reps/weight etc then track it also in the strength training part. 1 set of 10 reps is what you did. One would assume that you wouldn't just work out one half of your body.

Rob Zombie (living dead girl, dragula), NIN(closer), Stuff like that that has a heavy beat. Sometimes I can't do it to hula hooping or step aerobics because I start jamming to much and can't pay attention to what I am supposed to be doing...LOL great for running though!

Watch your sodium! That will help you hold on to water.

I had been using the Wii fit for stuff and now I am doing a Zumba Dvd (20 min) then Boxing on the Wii. I tell you the boxing kicks my *kitten*. My arms are usually killing me the next day and I am sweating buckets when I am done.

. Congrats on the weight you have already lost! I wouldn't worry about weighing yourself every day. You will drive yourself nuts Heck I gained .5 lb this week, but no worries I know it will come off next week. Just get back on track with your eating and I am sure that it come off. You are right about one thing. As long as…

Thanks for the great suggestions! I will be looking into all of these to see what fits my life the best. You guys/girls Rock!
-
go to www.zumbacalories.com There you can put in your info and get a ball park of calories burned.
-
Just make sure that you excercise off those calories. Little concerned that you got sick... um on purpose or on accident?
-
I eat all my calories and my excercise ones too. So far so good.
-
ok see this is the problem, I didn't have any to lose and I lost them! LOL my poor little B's are not a full B anymore..phooey. Where is the justice in the world?

THIS^^^^

Sure it can. Start by cutting portions and excercising a bit. Your weight will come of slower maybe but it will come off. I make the same exact dinners as I did before but now I either just eat less of the dinner or excercise more if I know that I am fixing something that might put me over the limit. I have a cookie now…
-
I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch most of the time and I try to plan out dinner early in the day so like others said I know what snacks I can have. Whether or not its a rest day factors in as well since I don't have my excercise calories to eat. I log in as much as I can and adjust for unexpected items.
-
I have gone from mindlessly snacking while reading to portioning out my snacks and just generally being more aware of the amount of food consumed.
-
^^^^^ THIS EXACTLY. If I want a cookie then it better fit in the calories left or I better do some more working out!

If she is not ready mentally, there is nothing that will help. I have spent years "dieting and trying to get in shape" but if I didn't see a result right away then like her, I was throwing in the towel. I have had the light switched on and realized that I need to get healthy and if that means that the scale doesn' t move…
-
Good for you to take the first step. Just remember to take baby steps and slowly change things. Slow and steady wins the race! There is a lot of different ideas and opinions here. Take it in and make your choices. This should be a lifestyle change not a diet. Diets fail. Your life is your life. Get ready to live it!
-
As someone said this is life not a diet. Sure I went over by about 800 calories but hey today is a new day and if you can't cut loose every once in a while, what is the point?
-
I am just using the Wii fit right now and have lost 8 lbs so far. I am noticing more tone than weight lost. I just keep doing the activites for longer and longer. Hula hoop and boxing kick my *kitten*.
-
It is always possible. I had more salt and not nearly enough water this weekend myself and noticed the clothes not fitting. So crossing fingers that as a chug away on my water today that it goes away in a couple of days. I wouldn't worry so much if it was just one weekend but if your doing it every weekend then I would…

That is awesome! Yes it is the little things and one day soon I too shall see the light! Thanks for that NSV to keep us all going.
