Laziness, I was walking and increasing my miles but it took too much time. I started running to get my workout in quicker so I could go home and veg out and found that I enjoyed it.

5'-5". I have very narrow hips allowing me to wear smaller sizes, not much difference between waist and hip measurements at all. I would love a 26" waist!
-
Great news! I love shopping now too.

I have a healthy BMI, my waist is 34". I wear a size 4/6 and will never have a <31 inch waist. I am just not built that way. The space between my rib cage and hip is about 1/2". You cannot cookie cutter BMI or waist measurements for everyone. There are always exceptions.

I haven't tried pictures yet, but hopefully this is my side by sides. Not even my highest weight. I went on to add 20 more lbs after this picture. Highest weight was 216 lb. Last weekend. Currently 45 years old, 5' 5" and currently 144 lbs.

Very interesting article. I often get discouraged at all the extra sugar, salt and fat in all the processed foods. Now I know there is a science (of sorts) behind it. I always thought it was because those three ingredients were cheaper on the manufacturers.

Hubby challanged me to a footrace down the driveway, I smoked him!

The dreaded last 10 lbs. I've lost 70 lbs. so far. Never thought I would get this far, almost there.

I got an inch and a half off with 30 Day Shred. Several others have gotten better results with it. This is my problem area too.

Hi all! I'm an inverted triangle too. I don't have any new pictures but I have lost 70 lbs and I am learning to love my body. (i'll make some soon) I am currently wearing a size 7 pants and a large to extra large shirt. No waist whatsoever. My waist measurement and my hip measurement are both 34". My chest/shoulder…

I work out in the mornings now. The only way I was able to make the switch was when we did the last time change and set our clocks back an hour, I didn't change the one in my bedroom. In the morning when the alarm went off, I got up and around before I woke up enough to know that it was 5:30 instead of 6:30 and since I was…

I still feel that little bit of panic when the hostess at a restaurant seats you in a booth. I also gravitate to the back for group pictures and head right to the plus size clothing section automatically.

Me! We have 11 right now and can't imagine life without them. My horses are the main reason I started this journey. Add me, I've been here since April and try to log in everyday when we are not off riding.

They really upset my stomache if I take them during the day. I take mine at night between dinner and bedtime and have no problems.

Hi! Welcome to the site, I ride too. Mostly gaited. I'm right in the middle of 30DS. I thought that Lv 1 was too easy too until I woke up the next day. My knees were aching. I think with all my riding, I already have strong legs but obviously hadn't been using the muscles right above my knee caps. Add me as friend if you…

My first GW is my CW. I get to GW and then re-evaluate. Putting down that I had 80 plus lbs to lose was so daunting and created such an overwhelming feeling that I change my GW as I meet my current one.

This is absolutely the only show I watch on TV ever. No one is allowed to talk or move in my house while Supernatural is on. Love the Winchesters!

I'm 44 years old, 5'5" and have lost 66 lbs. Starting weight was 216 lbs. MFP starting weight was 194 lbs. in April of last year and my current weight is 150 lbs. I'm looking to lose 15 more and tone up a bit. This last 15 lbs. is proving to be hard to budge. Feel free to add me.

40 LBS. Before anyone said anything to me. I think they were just waiting to see if I was going to stick with it.
-
Great post! No more sitting on the sidelines for you!
-
I need a few more friends also, feel free to add me. 2013 is the year I WILL get to goal!

No body measurements, now I wish I had kept up with those. I started out last year at over 216 lbs. I'm now bouncing between 149 and 150 with 66 lbs lost. I have went from the obese catagory to the top of the healthy weight catagory. I went from a size 16 jeans and a 3x shirt to a size 8 jeans and a large shirt. Best thing…

I've been dieting since April, hit a standstill for a couple of months with no weightloss. I've took a break for the month of December just because I wasn't getting anywhere and December is extremely busy and have lost 4 lbs in maintenance. I'm just hoping it's not all muscle.

I was in the same boat, barely making a fifteen minute mile, but could run an hour and a half. Got advice from an Army Buddy. Run at least 30 minutes a day. Add sprints into your basic run. I was skeptical but this shaved 3 minutes off of my mile in about a month.

Bump. Been in one myself for over a month...
-
Thank you for this, I've been lifting heavy for about six months now and for the last 1.5 months my weight has stayed the same. I've been getting a little discouraged. I have went from a size 11-12 jeans size to a 7-8 with absolutely no weight loss.

My co-worker worked really hard and lost 60 pounds last year. Our office had several calls from people that were just being nosey and wanting to know what illness he was suffering from.
-
Good for you! I just recently found out that I'm 7 lbs less thann DBF. LOL, he's 6'1" and I'm 5'5" but still, I'm finally less than him.
-
Bump, for all the good recipes :)

I go to the barn and spend time with my horses. They are great therapists.
