  • Stress, illness, not enough protein, weight-loss, over styling, change in shampoo times (yes it's that picky) all these things cause my already fine, thin hair to start falling out. Blood work all comes back fine, no reason for it other than it's just so fine and finicky. When this starts happening, I start changing things…
  • Made this last night. It was a hit with two non-veggie men. Oven-Baked Zucchini Fries makes approximately 8 servings Ingredients 3 zucchini (1 lb.) 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese 1 packet Shake & Bake Coating Mix 1 small egg Method: Heat oven to 450ºF. Trim the zucchini -cut crosswise in half, then cut each piece into…

  • Needed a new saddle and I found a really cool western saddle on Craig's list that fit my horse perfectly, but I didn't know if it would fit me. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am now riding a 15 inch saddle with plenty of room! yeah!! So glad I gave it a try.
  • Don't quit! You can scale back every once in awhile but make sure you pick it back up. One year from now you will be so glad that you didn't quit. You will have good days and bad days, just make sure that there are plenty more good days than bad days. What helped me stay motivated was reading all the success stories on the…

  • This is so strange to me. I'm older and have always had what is now called a "thigh gap". Even when at a heavier weight. I kind of look like a large potato standing on toothpicks when I'm heavy. I've spent years trying to build up my thighs because when I was younger, I didn't like my "chicken legs". I have narrow…

  • Love it! Just what I needed to hear today. I'm finishing up month 6 of no weight lost but I will keep on trying. Great job!
  • Trying this. 71 lbs. lost [/URL]
  • I just keep looking at the tops and thinking, wow, those may fully cover the twins and even supply a little more support than those tiny little triangles on regular bikinis.

  • I'm 5'5" and 45 years old. My initial goal weight was 145 but I still have some pudge at this weight so I'm now shooting for 135-138.
  • This is what my belly fat still looks like 10 lbs. from goal weight and a healthy BMI everywhere else is slim. I'm an apple shape and the belly is the last to go.
  • I kind of went thru this when I started to lose the weight. I found out that a handful of his friends were telling him that I was losing weight to find another man. He is in excellent health but is quite a bit older than me so they were telling him that I was looking for a younger man. Thank goodness that with a little…
  • Hit my first goal weight and had a photography session with my horse. I would have NEVER done that without losing 70 lbs. Loved the photos. Reset my goal to lose another 10 and I have a tattoo picked out for that one and I want a beach vacation.
  • ^^This^^ It's my body and it does amazing things
  • Anything creammy. Ice cream, pudding, custard or just cream in general. Love the texture. Non-food related - watching teen movies and tv shows in my 40's and Dr. Hook.
  • Wow, just wow. You are an inspiration. Way to take control of your own destiny. Amazing job.
  • Bump for ideas. Been trying to lose the last 10 for 5 months now.

  • For health reasons and to be able to keep doing my favorite hobby, horseback riding. But mostly: My best friend lost 100 lbs. and I became "The Fat Friend".
  • 1. I can't steal hubby's clothes anymore. They are too big 2. I have to help unload feed because everyone has seen me lifting weights heavier than the feed bags. 3. I have to saddle my own horse. (Weight thing again.) 4. Local clothing bank knows me by name. 5. I swap clothing with my 14 year old niece. 6. My dog is too…
  • Been working on my last 10 lbs. since January the 1st. My scale has not moved at all for 5 months except to go up a couple of lbs. I've lost 71 lbs. in a little over a year. So for me, YES. But this close to goal, I'm just going to keep on track and see what happens. If you would have told me that the first 71 lbs. would…
  • Bump. Want to read the answers as I'm currently off running due to a badly sprained ankle myself.
  • I spent all summer lifting heavy. I then moved indoors for winter and did only body weight exercises because my weights are outside under a carport. When the weather got warmer, I went right back to lifting heavy where I had left off and had to increase my weights as it was too easy. I take this as a little proof in my…
  • I just wanted to add that I controlled my blood sugars for years with diet alone by doing exactly this. I did eventually have to go to the oral medication, but held it off for many years. I'm hoping to hold off or avoid all together the insulin injections for many more years by watching my diet and taking metformin.
  • I take metformin daily. I credit it along with diet and exercise for my weight loss. I tried for years to lose the weight before metformin and while doing the same things I'm doing now, I just continued to gain. The stomache upset is rough at first. It does get better. For me it was months before it slacked up. Heade the…
  • Don't give up! Even if the weight is not moving, you ARE healthier, stronger and have more endurance. Your bones are less brittle, you are less likely to come down with a serious illness. You are prolonging your life and increasing the quality. All the things you are doing are making you stronger and healthier for the long…
  • peanut butter, I could live on the stuff.
  • I jogged down the drive in shorts at home to open the gate for hubby and he just kept going on and on about the nice muscles in my legs. I told him, "Thank you, I had been working on them" and he says, "It shows." I even got a compliment from my brother about my calves and he NEVER compliments anyone.
  • I've always had this problem until I started lifting weights. Cough, sneeze, strain to lift something or jumping. I'm not sure when it went away but it was sometime during weight lifting. I'm just glad I was working out at home.
  • Love peanut butter! I have it every single day. Up to 4 TBS and have to make myself stop. I believe I could eat the whole jar daily.
