That is awesome!!! I am supposed to be training for a half marathon and I can't find the motivation to do it! I do other things to work out that I love more! LOL! My half marathon is in 6 weeks! Today I set out for a 4 mile jog and I had to walk some of it! It was 85 degrees out also! :( I think you did great!!! :)

I like my fitbit for all day wearing! and tracking my sleep! But it doesn't count accurate calories for most exercise! I bought the Polar FT4. It works great!

I agree 100% with this! You shouldn't track something you do EVERY day. Your body is already used to that. Only track your additional workouts.

Both! You can totally do a scoop of protein in a shake. You should of course do everything you can to get it from food, but if you can't then a protein shake is definitely acceptable. I am doing a TurboFire / Chalean Extreme hybrid! I missed the weight lifting from CLX, so I started that a week ago! LOVING it so far. As far as TurboFire... Fire 45 and 55 EZ are great! All the HIIT's are too because you get an awesome workout really fast! <edit mfp mod>

Most 5k's are a walk / run option . So they won't be packing up if you finish in 45 mins. my first 5k was 42 mins. And october is still a ways a way! Start speed training once a week. open your diary so we can see what you're eating! Also, it helps if you log the bad stuff too! You see what you eat and are more likely to stop! And make sure you have your goals set appropriately. Dont set personal goals too high, set small weight loss goals so they are more achievable. What's your weakness? Your cravings?

The reason you burn less calories when you get more fit is because you have less to lose! That's a good thing!!! Your metabolism is speeding up and your body is learning to burn them w/out as much exercise. I have the Polar FT4 HRM and I LOOOOOOOVE it! it's very easy to use!

i LOVE the taste of coffee with my hazelnut creamer! and i can't have just 2 teaspoons... so I usually add 4 which is 100 calories. but I just make sure it fits for the day!!!!
