Add me. I've been on here a while, but am finding myself slipping. Need friends and motivation to stay in the game.

Yeah, so this is really late to the game, but seriously, that's kind of ignorant. I read all the comments up to yours, and nobody said anything about being required to eat anywhere. People just want to be informed on the matter, and there's nothing wrong with that. Personally I would love to see every restaurant post their…

You can add me if you like. I not only post daily, but I also post a lot of recipes in my blog that I come up with.

You might find better luck posting this in the Food and Nutrition section of the boards. Quite frankly you lost me with all that you were throwing out, so I stopped reading.

Difficult to address without access to your diary.

The problem with Weight Watchers is that they tell you that vegtables (and possibly other foods) are negligable, and you can eat all you want without counting them. This is a bunch of bull! Flat out bull! Calories are calories regardless of where they come from, I.E. meat, veggies, carbs, etc. If you eat 1,500 calories…

There's a certain mindset that you have to be in. But as others have said it's discipline, and if I might also add - Dedication.

Great to see you here, Cathryn. I too have 100 pounds to lose, and I encourage you to honestly reconsider the surgery route, and instead commit the dedication to yourself that you deserve. After thirty days of simply logging my food I know that I'm losing weight for the simple fact that I've dropped a pant size. I have…

Hey, Linda. I have 100 pounds I am trying to lose, and I can tell you that logging into MFP consistantly has been crucial to my success. I've been doing it for thrity days now, and while I have not weighed myself yet, I know I am losing weigh - Because I dropped a pant size. Add me as a friend if you need some motivation…

Wanting to start is step one - Good job! Step two is figuring out your BMR so that you can get a calculation of how many calories you should eat at a maximum. MFP does this for you when you set a goal. Next, and most importantly, log food - accurately. You need to log what you're eating, and you need to be accurate and…

I think they are referring to processed foods. These have high sodium, sugar, and a ton of calories.

I do three squares a day, keeping each meal between three hundred and five hundred calories. I don't cut out foods such as carbs or sugars, but I stay in my limit. So far so good.

I have a mom. Does that count?

You dig?

@Sorceress - I have a main goal - drop 100 LB's, and a daily goal - stay withing my calorie range. It's not stressful, it's a mind set. With all due respect, sounds like you need to get into the right mind set. Once you do, the goal won't be stressful or a failure. It will just be something you do.

Another example I would throw out there is find ways to enjoy the foods you love without sacrificing your positive attitude. For example, I found out last weekend that it was okay for me to still go to my favorite Mexican restaurant and order my favorite meal. I had to forgo the three flour tortillas they bring with the…

I have a rule of thumb to never eat the calories that MFP claims I burned off during exercise. Instead, I just eat within my 1600 calories for the day, and take the burned amount as a bonus. If you're just going to turn around and eat the calories you just burned off by working out, then what's the point of working out?…

Great to hear you're taking time to work on you. That's something so many people neglect to do. I just started three or four days ago, and I don't look at it as dieting. I look at it as eating my recommended daily intake (or less) as opposed to overeating like I'm accustomed to. MFP really helps because it puts right in…

Is a high fiving bear.

Hey, True Believer, I'm no doctor, but it sounds to me like what you need is some PT first - Physical Therapy. That way you can ease into an exercise routine that is not only going to help you lose the weight, but keep you comfortable due to your condition. Obviously the best way to find the plan that will work for you is…

That's just wrong...The banner on the side of my thread page is of a package of Cape Cod chips sitting next to what looks like a fully loaded hot dog.
