  • Anyone can add me
  • I would give it 6-8 weeks eating that many calories and then re-assess. If you gain, drop that number by 100 and give it a few weeks before you recalculate. You will need to experiment with the numbers in order to find what works for you, but it isn't going to be worth anything if you give up on it too quickly. It's all…
  • Doesn't it feel so good when it all clicks into place? I am not a cocky person in the least, but I find myself laughing at some of the crazy theories people have about weight loss/nutrition because I feel like I finally understand. It is such a self-esteem boosting process
  • Hi Everyone! I am the proud working momma of a 2.5 year old crazy little boy. Feel free to add me
  • I make my own: 1/2 cottage cheese blueberries/raspberries/strawberries scoop of Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream Protein Powder tablespoon of peanut butter ice water I think the packaged ones are yucky and this way I know exactly what I am getting!! When I first started I used this site:…
  • I completely agree. Weight training is exactly what you need, but you need to be consistant and patient...so hard, right? If you love the cardio, then don't give it up. Maybe cut down on the weights a bit...I do 3 weight training sessions a week with at least a day of rest in between them to allow my muscles time to heal.…
  • I have to agree. I have to consciously try to stay under my carb goal. I have protein and carbs at every meal. I snack on popcorn, fruit and veggies daily. Carbs are my friend.

  • The Fitbit will only give you a calorie adjustment when you are estimated to burn more than you estimated according to MFP. This number can be found in My Home-Goals on the right hand side of the page (Calories burned during normal daily activity). If you are set to sedentary this number is really low and you will…
  • Your actual maintenance very possibly is not the same as your calculated maintenance. It is all about trial and error. Experiment with eating at a certain number of calories for a couple of weeks and seeing where you stand. If you gain weight your maintenance is lower than that number. If you lose weight your maintenance…
  • It absolutely will go away. I felt the same way, and now I can't even contemplate reducing my calories to my cut value. I will say though, having a protein shake every night has helped me hit my macros. Before those I found it very difficult to consume that much lean protein. Stick with it!!
  • I agree. You will never know what truely is or is not working for you until you are consistant. You may be eating way over TDEE, way under BMR, or somewhere in the middle. The best way to be successful with EM2WL is to be consistant and to be aware of exactly what you are eating each and every day in relation to your…

  • Skinnytaste.com- Chicken Rollatini with Zucchini and Mozzarella. To.Die.For.
  • Great job! I did P90X a couple of years ago before I got married/had a baby and I certainly never looked like that! Excellent results
  • Welcome! You are going to love all the fabulous people here
  • Nice! It is such a great feeling. When my reset is over (3 more weeks) I am going to up my calories to try and figure out how much I can actually eat before I gain weight. A little experiment because I am just not ready to cut yet!
  • I am definitely in the minority here: I'm a 2-3 day-a-weeker. I do a quick cardio warm-up and then lift heavy for about 40 minutes. I can't do too much because of joint pain (Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue), so I listen to my body and capitalize when I am feeling good and rest when I am not
  • Cucumber dill sauce
  • I am the world's biggest Skinnytaste.com fan. I make 5--6 recipes a week from there. My favorites so far have to be Chicken Rollatini with Prosciutto and Cheese and Chicken Piccata. And the good thing is almost every recipe is already in the MFP database. Check it out!!
  • I am in Valley Ranch

  • Welcome!! You are going to love it. I also eat 1800 and it is fabulous! So many wonderful people here, so don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions.
  • Based on how much you work out, you fit in the highest category. Even if you don't think all of that is "strenuous," the time you spend exercising is in the strenuous category. I believe most people here base it on time, not exertion. According to Scooby, there are two strenuous categories. If I were you, I would use a…
  • Hmmm....this makes me wonder if I am eating enough. I currently eat my TDEE according to my Fitbit. On most days I burn 1700-1800 and on work out days I burn around 1900, so I have been eating 1800 (+ or- 50). Besides a little bit of bloating at around the 4 week mark, I have never felt "stuffed" or uncomfortable. In fact,…
  • I am also going to be enjoying some fast food this evening before I go to Blue Man Group. Happens about once a week (the fast food that is) and I don't feel even a little bit guilty about it.
  • Haha...so glad you posted this today. I have been freezing my whole life. Literally. I even moved from Boston to Georgia to get away from the cold, and I was still cold all the time. 5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and a bunch of vitamin deficiencies, so I have been taking some serious vitamin supplements.…
  • I agree about the sugar. I stopped watching it because the only thing I eat with a lot of sugar is fruit and I was going WAY over every day.

  • I am pretty good about hitting my macros. To be honest, the only way I can do it consistently is with protein powder. I eat protein at every meal, but I have no desire to eat 150 grams of lean meat in a day. My nightly protein shake/smoothie is a great treat and ensures that I hit my macros
  • I have a protein shake everynight and it really helps me meet my macros. I do some variation of: 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese (sounds weird, but makes the shake so creamy and you don't taste it at all!) scoop of vanilla protein powder raspberries/blueberries/strawberries peanut butter ice water It's pretty much the only…
  • I think you should give 2000 a try for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. You know the deal- if you are consistently gaining then drop back down to 1900. It's all about trial and error. Just FYI- I am set at Lightly Active and I do WAY less than you (sad, I know) and I still get a Fitbit adjustment pretty regularly. (I…
  • If you are worried about automatically jumping up to moderate, can you do a number in the middle? Sounds to me like you would be more than lightly active but less than moderate. Just an idea
  • What is being said about it so far... “The approval of this drug, used responsibly in combination with a healthy diet and lifestyle, provides a treatment option for Americans who are obese or are overweight and have at least one weight-related comorbid condition,” said FDA’s drug center director, Dr. Janet Woodcock, in a…
